I`ll be honest, I want to see the two go head-to-head, that could be the knockout blow for the gop to get rid of trump. Trump and company will go after him hard...........the problem I see is trump might be prosecuted and the fight never materializes. The gop will have to pick a side, we know who the base will want............get your popcorn ready

It's going to be a fun primary season. Trump going to put it all out there. He's already threatening his future opponent and trying to bully him to stand down. Good ****.

Will the GOP finally free themselves from Trump or continue to fall in line behind dear leader? Does DeSantis actually want smoke? Will the MAGA base throw their support behind someone who faced off against Trump and won, or just slink back into their holes in a fit of rage? If DeSantis loses, will get the Liz Cheney/RINO treatment for daring to stand against dear leader? If Trump isn't dead or in jail, find out in 2024

Knowing how people dumped Bush Jr so easily, as long as DeSantis goes hard on right wing cultural issues and repeats the term "woke" a lot he'll capture most of the MAGA base.

The majority of them are still under 18. They're coming and they're aware of politics, especially after being trapped at home for 2 years. My oldest, who is turning 17 next week, mentioned several times that he wished he could vote in this election. .

After a fierce battle with Trump? Yeah, I'm not so sure about that

this is a cult so not sure what relevance Bush Jr has here, and Trump will be extra vicious since DeSantis will be harder to beat than some weak simp like Cruz or Rubio

Did anyone watch the NV press conference? I can't find online if they gave an update on the number of ballots.

I wasn't really meaning to RAG on Gen Z, just pointing out the absurdity of her statement.

The extreme right is SO QUICK (and good) at finding a demo they can all alienate and go on the offensive against. You have people like Ted Cruz making fun of Arts Majors, unprovoked. They operate like bullies. Trying to divide and conquer. Whatever gets them a vote.

Then... we they actually need the vote... you see PLATINUM PLANS (lmao) at the 11th hour. "Porsches for blacks, you love me, everybody knows it" - Trump. Probably.

So....to bolster my original point...he's more interested in being Minority leader than helping Republican candidates win the Senate. You don't see Schumer doing anything like this.

Walker is currently going to a run off that his money could have made a difference in. How in ANY way would that be "blowing your money" in a Senate race that could decide which party controls the Senate?

Absolutely. Have to wonder if she would if McConnell had stayed out.

She's already effectively an independent. And there's NO WAY she would ever abandon the Republican Party and lose her place on Senate Committees not to mention destroy her future as a candidate in Alaska.

Agreed. Which is why McConnell's money might have made the difference...against the wishes of his own party's state caucus. I recognize it's good for the left of the aisle but horrible optics and a betrayal to many Republicans.

He would be minority leader whether T or M wins in Alaska. He's not spending money to secure his minority leadership because M would vote for him and T wouldn't.
