I would agree with this. This is one of the reasons why I’ve been saying for a long time that Democrats need to contest races at every level. Republican recent successes was built over decades and a lot of it having to do with winning state houses.
I would also point out that Fung who is winning in RI at the moment although a Republican has ran as an Anti- MAGA candidate
the establishment is backing desantis, that scares me as a gop voter. With trump they were scared and put up roadblocks when he was running, with desantis its almost like ALL msm wants him to be the gop nominee if desantis runs againist trump it would destroy the party hoping for trump 2024, and desantis or lake for president in 2028
Rex a bit unhinged. "My candidates lost" = our democracy is ****ed. Recently sat behind him on a flight. He was tweeting nonstop, for several hours.
The Democratic coalition is a mile wide but an inch deep. They're numerous but fickle and difficult to motivate. The Republican coalition is an inch wide but a mile deep. They're low maintenance and consistent but growth avenues are few and far between. The big irony here being that Republicans often crow about being "the silent majority" when it's the literal opposite. They're a vocal minority and reliably lose whenever turnout is up.
Democrats look likely to pick up a house seat in Ohio. Kathleen Klyde is likely to take a seat from the Republicans.
