Alpi became MVP in every league he played. NBA is the next.
They were getting him the ball more last night. He didn't post up down low. He seemed to come out more to the side or to the high top to receive the ball and work his way in. It worked. If he keeps scoring like that, teams will start to double him and he will feast on passing to the open man.
Alpy started the season hot, but I don’t think that he will be able to keep producing this much. 9 games is a small sample size. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan (look at my username lol) and wanna be wrong. My expectation for Alpy this year was 13/8/3 in 25 mpg. He is already averaging what I expected him to do next year (minus assists). If his numbers don’t fall much this year, and he can improve his middies and threes during the season, we might really see him breakout next year. I am keeping my hopes low tho. All of the 19-20 y.o kids in this team should be given 2-3 years to adapt and improve without pressure. I don’t see any of them as busts yet, especially Jabari.
I think they are finally finding their fit with our big 3, and right now Jabari is out......until he starts making shots. DD
because he is pick no 16 and not pick no 2 rockets management with that 19th century vision and understanding
...he can't wait to release the ball to someone... what a beautiful way to describe an ideal basketball player!
Too much (not deserved) hype is growing for the 20 year old, a little too much for my taste considering his defense and general play. Only watching the highlights causes these people to get hyped. I also read lots of hatred growing on about his flopping, FT ritual, and hesitancy on shooting the 3 pointer. Haters gonna hate, lovers gonna be SOF lol
lol if anything alperen is underhyped severely...starting from his very gm, coach and organization ...rockets official twitter was surprised he can cross over people to the basket lololol
VERY WELL SAID! I WISHED SOFs THOUGHT LIKE THAT! Replying to @dubythechef and @BiasedHouston The most important feature of alperen sengun is that he plays for the team spirit, not for himself. And this is the most important feature. play for city and team you always win
Do YOU think like that? You contradict with your previous posts saying KPJ is your top player and best player of the team. and does he play for the team, or more for himself? Don't poop where you eat. We love Sengun because he is an unselfish team player. Your KPJ obsession is just the opposite.
If he keeps developing like this keep feeding it. Run the offense through him and Green, these young players will make mistakes while they learn it's okay, let them grow into their potential.
Its amazing yall need to see all this ISO shitshow just to go back to the most basic concept of basketball. Score the easiest basket until they double then pass out
I said last year he reminded me of a bigger Ginobili than a scola. He was routinely crossing people using that behind back dribble Ginobili was known for. And the way he shields and contorts his body to finish or make a ridiculous pass. Everyone thought I was crazy. Hope they see it now.
