Unfortunately, Mid-range is non-existent in Silas’s strategy. Truly great guards/SF (Kobe, Jordan, Leonard etc) have/had solid mid-range game. It is mind-boggling to see why coaches do not make this a priority for young players to develop these days.

because theres no incentive to...they are not paid based on results... nba is one huge corporation....bureaucracy....its one company basically...if teams coaches/players were to be paid based on conference standings than youd see a completely different things being implemented

Last time I checked, we won last night. And, for this young Rockets team facing a brutal schedule, that's quite an accomplishment. We're going to get better as the year goes on and these guys mature. Again, the schedule will lighten up...

OMT - We don't sniff that victory were it not for KPjr. Yeah, he had some problems down the stretch, but for most of the game was fantastic, showing dramatic improvement out top. Anyone, b****ing about the 7 turnovers in the boxscore didn't watch.

Preach! All these analysts are just here to prop up "their guy" while simultaneously trashing someone else. NOBODY on this team is a one man gang who can win games by himself NOBODY. When the Magic came all the way back in the 3rd quarter and looked like they were taking the momentum Scooter came in and gave the team some quick points AND ran the offense to ANOTHER big lead. He did have some clumsy turnovers, but he did run a +13 for the game also unless that doesnt matter all of a sudden!

    GREAT TEAM WIN!

Imagine if we actually played Sengun significant minutes LAST year and he could of been more developed for this year.

And next year we can ask the same thing for Tari. When we have a new coach, we can ask 'imagine how our players would have developed if we had the new coach from the beginning'.

Imagine if Sengun was not a fouling machine last year.

His fouling so much had as much to do with his playing time as anything else.

It's like night and day this year.

YES! AND THIS IS WHY EVERY GAMES MATTER even the summer league ones even the garbage time...

silas is acting like hes a genius so he does not give attention to detail and savyness...
wasting ptime on players like david nwaba, gordon and theis

even if youre not the brightest coach attention to detail and saviness more effort, work and practice can make up for the genius....

no its his lack of playing time that use to got him out of rhythm and foul prone

you lose integrity when you say something like this because he was denied PT even in games where he wasnt fouling much...

that tells me you wasnt carefully watching last year or follwing the debates on this topic...

you also forgot jabari stays in the game regardless of 4 quick fouls

silas is just weird towards alpi and even the most faithful to silas as well as independent sources have acknowledged that

alpi was never fouling too much because his per 36 foul rate never went over 6 so basically he would have never fouled out if playing 35 minutes a night....

Nope, he would just not stop reaching.

Don't bother to reply, I already know how fruitless it is to engage with you.

Great part of the TEAM win. I was really hoping to see more Sengun v Banchero. Hope to see them match up more in future games.

I don't disagree on his fouling but there were plenty of games he just wasn't playing. Learning to not reach and how to position your arms/hands on defense is also gained with experience. In the end, he should of had more playing time last year.

    SPOT ON

his per 36 fouling rate never went over 6(helo brains!) and this rate doesnt change/statpad if you sit him lol

so you could have legit play him 30 + minutes and he would never foul out AND hed be able to adjust better

fouling too much was just an excuse for nepotism/racism/tanking/being dumb or whatever was the case perhaps all...

nba is cruel they order around grown man carry suitcases and bring sandwiches for the others just to humiliate the new guy...
