If you can get over his reminiscing and humble brags he is a pretty good announcer. He often points out what our guys are doing wrong and how it is suppose to be done.

Someone has to warn him to stop telling us his irrelevant memories.

    Nope.

He is incredibly painful to listen to.

    *player breathes

"OMG CRAIG HE IS HEATING UP" - note: theatrics and volume of voice rise with every word.

I have to admit though I burst out laughing and choked on my drink in the game today when Green shot an airball and proceeded to exclaim Jalen won't ever shoot an airball again.... but then stopped mid-sentence as his mind races to the numerous other examples of airballed open shots from Green... and he changed it to "wont happen often" after a pause.

    But yeah. He's annoying.

Every single Rockets Shop item of the game. He gets more excited than I did when I had sex for the first time.

    Dude, calm down.

I do not mind him. For me the thing I dislike the most is that he has not played for the rockets. So the enthusiasm feels a bit over the top and maybe a bit fake. he is not a guy with Rockets red in his blood.

That being said I do not have a strong opinion on him (he is much better then Drexler). I do miss Bull I really liked him. To me a Ackerman Bull combo would be the best option. But I am ok with the current team.

I can't believe the org's so cheap they canned Bull, a real Rocket lifer, for this Bruin. The man has ruined barbecue chicken for me. I sometimes mute the tv to watch the games in peace, like some sort of Trappist monk.

Thank gawd for Cougar basketball. This is the year. Go Coogs!

Craig is awesome and I think it’s really hard for him not to pull up the color commentator. At first Hollins struggled for me but over time he’s allowed himself to gel more with Ackerman and now he works for me.

Coming from ESPN and not being a homer actually has benefited in covering the other team too I’ve found. Clyde never did much prep and you could tell never watched much ball outside of attending the Rockets games. Hollins personally isn’t my favorite personality but he does know the NBA and has come around to knowing how to dial in on what’s going on with this specific group and now has some good chemistry with Craig.

I’m okay with keeping him for the time being and enjoy the games maybe not as much as Bill and Calvin but better than the Bill/Clyde/Bull days.

I rather this than someone dry and always serious. This team young and not good so having a young broadcaster really just fits.

I see a lot like Bullard but he annoyed TF out of me.

I really dislike how he’ll argue with every call against the Rockets, well beyond any reasonable point…. Like, question the call, fine, but a lot of the time the homerism and inability to be at all objective is a bit extreme, to me. Is he trying to prove he’s a real fan?

For an (at heart) non-Rockets guy, he is not too bad imo... he’s grown on me some. Decent knowledge of the game.

I don’t even listen to the Hosuton broadcast. I listen to the others team every everytime, except for Bostons and Dallas. Sean Elliot is pretty annoying too

Hollins is fun to listen to imo, and critical at the right times as well.

He tries to be Ackerman, but please don’t compare him to Drexler, that guy was awful and Hollins is easily better. In the long run, they need to look for a replacement for Ackerman and him. I want someone with ties to the Rockets at least. Give me Vernon! Craig is built for radio, so will give him a chance, but don’t have much faith he can undo those habits.
