He is taking much more shots now with less efficiency. My memory is a bit fuzzing now. But I think a lot of his scoring last year at this time was wide open dunks from fast break. His 3pt shots were pretty bad. After coming back from injury, his shooting improved drastically and he seemed to be able to create good separation to get his shot off at midrange. This season so far, his shots are as bad as last year. But he forces more to the basket and often gets blocked or takes a bad shot when he is not open. He's still not getting much foul calls.
I agree with your first paragraph, but I just don't think the second part is true. His TS% right now is 52%, I recall it being sub-50% for around the first half of last year. Again, not saying he's playing amazing or anything, but I don't think people remember how slow he started off last year.
These one game analysts and their sample sizes will offer great levity this season! Thanks in advance to those guys who cant help themselves and need to be heard! LOL
Not trying to argue. But if you took away last night's game, his TS% was 49%. Of course, his bad shooting lasted more than 10 games last year. Let's hope that last night was an early start for his turn around.
Jalen has a great attitude. He represents the team really well. After the game last night he went to the center of the court and looked up around and scanned the seats, and caught me with a Rockets hat on and immediately raised up his hand and pointed in my direction before turning around and walking back. It's a small thing but shows he appreciates fans and for a budding star, it's a great quality. Guys is trying to do things right. he works hard, he wants to win, and isn't selfish. I wish people would just realize what we have as fans in him and appreciate that he's young, growing and going to do a lot of amazing things.
did anyone catch last night when he kind of got mad after a fast break where he assisted to Sengun for a dunk. On his way back he said something with not a happy face. Was it for "why not jump for an alley-up Sengun", or "dude i could have made a highlight dunk, why did i assist". Of course this does not mean anything or any attitude problems, I just remembered this when reading the title of this thread. not the total video but i could only find this one:
Jalen needs to work on his driving hooks... like the one wagner did there....ive set the video to the time of the move...just click it would work wonders for his game
