It's okay. I think Jabari's uses will be more apparent when this team gets better and he knows his spots and starts playing great D. His toolset are not easily seen early in a rebuilding team.
Both Wagner and Banchero showed some really impressive stuff for me. Wagner got long ass strides and still his coordinated. Dude can finish and sees the floor well.
KPJ jumped on Clutch and read my message and decided to prove me wrong. Good on him. KPJ and KMJ seem to have a deal worked out and KPJ is going to feed him so he can get paid.
Yea, unless Jabari makes a huge leap next year, I don't think he'll ever be an all-star in this league. We really drafted an offensively compromised player at 3 and the lotto players drafted after him are all balling out.
We were 1-16 to start last year and this year we are 2-9. We did go on that winning streak after the 1-16 start though
My God, I can't believe people are still saying crap like this after seeing what happened with Green last season.
There were a lot of plays tonight where the guys swung it to an open man, or passed out of a contested drive to a shooter. Honestly these last three games have been a lot better in terms of overall ball movement, and I hope these young Rockets keep it up. Obviously tonight’s shooting is not sustainable, but the whole point is to generate easy looks—something that we had in spades tonight. Most importantly, it looks like the kids are having fun again. Jalen was playing with swagger, Sengun had some ridiculous passes, and KJ is going to have a bunch of plays in the top-10 tomorrow. I liked this version of KPJ, too. Still a bit sticky, but made the right play more often than not and mitigated his turnovers by playing solid defense…plus he can get into the paint anytime he wants and those are just free assists waiting to happen, if he looks for them. Now once again the schedule gets tough. I hope throwing our guys into the fire this early will result in great improvements down the line, but for right now, all I can say is that this game was damn fun to watch.
Does anyone else notice that Green is more comfortable with his handles and attacking when he's playing against the younger teams that has his peers that got drafted with him or in the past couple of years? Kinda bodes well when he hits his prime as all the other guys in their prime at that point will be his age also.
People never learn. You should read the Astros thread when they went down 1-0 or 2-1. They just never learn.
Part of me says it's way too premature but part of me also says that even when Green struggled his first half, he still had entire games and moments where he made us do this: Have we really had any moments of this with Jabari? I understand that Jabari if he becomes a great player will not be the flashy type of player so maybe just do to the nature of his skillset it's harder to be wowed by it where it just jumps off the screen.
