Turns out it was from Smoltz from every time a Philly almost hit a Homerun or a hit with a runner in scoring position
Just came back. Did Pena/Breggy/Tucker/Chas/JV show up? I must've missed them if they did. I saw Altuve/Brantley/Pressly/Garcia/Urquidy/Gurriel/Maton/Dubon/Stanek. Dusty got the biggest cheers.
Just got back from the parade. I parked a mini SUV at a parking lot off Smith at 5 AM (first one there, right off Smith street). Took an Uber home and got dropped back off around 11:45. Rooftop view for the kids and shade when needed. Best $50 I’ve spent in a while.
Congrats to Uncle Mike for getting his first ring. He is a pros pro. I wish we could have got him one back in 2019 as well. Here is to hoping he comes back to the team next year so we can run it back.
Also congrats to Yordan best Dodgers trade in Astros history. I'm so glad we locked him up to stay in Houston for the next few years.
Shout-out to Pressley too he was struggling early in the season but was nails the entire playoffs. Best closer the Astros have had in the playoffs. Well deserved championship as well. Pena also played way above a rookie level all year long and deserved that MVP though I could argue that Pressley was deserving of world series MVP as well. They don't win game 5 without him getting 5 high leverage outs. He didnt blow any of his save opportunities either.
Just to recap: We swept the Mariners. We swept the Yankees and embarrassed them. We pitched only the 2nd no-hitter in WS history. JV exorcised his demons in the WS. Bregman was the glue throughout the playoffs. Our rookie SS so clutch on the biggest stage. Yordan Alvarez had 3 monumental GW HRs. Chaz arguably the greatest catch in WS history. Our bullpen was historically epic. There is a lot to chew on. A helluva lot of meat on that bone.
