Looks like I'm being charged for labor on the installation of a standby generator. Is that right? In Texas, some labor is subject to sales tax and some isn't. It's unclear to me if I should be taxed on this labor. Per Texas comptroller site, labor "to repair, remodel or restore residential real property" is not taxable. Would a generator installation fall under that category?
I've definitely paid tax on all labor that's been done to my properties during my lifetime. You crazy.
