Yes I'm a believer you can have one weak link on offense and one weak link on defense. Dray and Sengun would offset to themselves. But the notion that we need a point guard can be overrated. Just give me more wings that can dribble distribute like Jaylan Brown, Tatum, and Dray and we will be ok. I'm high on Cam Whitmore out of college.
Unless you bring in a high caliber veteran PG, KPJ will still be the starter and play the most minutes of the team. If Silas wasn't our HC, KPJ would never have been our starting PG.
Since Sengun is hyped around the league nowadays and he is not in any future plans of the best self-claimed back-court in NBA, - Silas & Stone (got u there), and since there is log jam at the center position with Boban Doncic, Garubi Fartpants, Jabari Milicic, Mrs Bruno Silas, and any other similar players Stone brings on the way, I suggest that the Rockets get rid of their worst defender and package him with any player other than KPJ, and get a decent PG. Do it Stone! (lol) I can't prove but I am sure he has been evaluating this scenario.
When does TyTy get back? We would benefit a lot from having someone who knows how to get the ball moving. Sengun is a great start, but we need someone from the get go to do it. I wouldn't give up any players who are a big part of our future to get one because if we land Scoot next year then this problem is more than solved (from a player standpoint).
TyTy is a project. We need a veteran and we need him quick. I know they wont do it but we should go for Mike Conley
