Agreed - she is much less "left" than AOC, for example.

The part of your post I bolded is my entire point. Based on the actually available evidence (and not stuff that isn't available for anyone to see), AT LEAST as much points towards this guy hating Pelosi "from the Left" as it would point towards him hating her "from the Right".

And both the Pelosis and the SF Police have NOT said anything about this guy being motivated by "right-wing" propaganda to carry out the hammer attack.

Yet, Hillary Clinton and others within leftist political circles, as well as the very leftist circle jerkers on this thread have been acting like it is 100 % certain that he is "right-wing".

But it's not, and I am quite certain there is a good chance they will be proven wrong. The guy is either just mentally ill and an overall confused conspiracy theorist where it isn't clearly attributable to right or left (very likely) or he is nuts and influenced by his long-time socialization with "Indybay", a very leftist organization.

Not if he's choosing to plead not Guilty by reason of insanity.

You can also plead not guilty at arraignment and then enter negotiations for a plea bargain, eventually changing your plea to guilty or no contest at a later date once a deal has been struck.

    Dude.

If you haven't posted all the conspirator theories craps and how everyone from the left is determined to paint this politically against right-wing (when it's simply Occam's razor), your point would be taken more seriously. All of that crap just rendered this new point of yours to the bottom dweller and is seen as intellectually dishonest. From my point of view, as I said before, you are projecting. You projected your conviction onto the left as being fully convinced that this is a right-wing problem. And you projected your need to make issues as left-wing political issue to the left (that they are all making this a right-wing political issue). When the easiest explanation is right there in front of you - Occam's razor, that's all it was.

Anyhow, your new point isn't a good one.

I didn't rule out someone from the extreme progressive left early on (as did at least one more poster here I think) but with what we know now, it very much looks like he's influenced by the nutty right. You can continue to hold onto hope that's wrong. I give it a 5% chance you are right.

Why Are Prosecutors Charging Paul Pelosi's Attacker With So Many Felonies? (reason.com)
In an interview with The New York Times, Frank Ciccarelli, a carpenter who employed DePape as an apprentice for several years and said he knew him well, reported that DePape had gone "down the rabbit hole" of right-wing conspiracy theories. "If you got him talking about politics, it was all over," Ciccarelli said, "because he really believed in the whole MAGA, 'Pizzagate,' stolen election—you know, all of it, all the way down the line." The Times notes that DePape had a blog that included posts "ranting about the 2020 election being stolen, appearing to deny the gassing of Jews at Auschwitz and claiming that schoolteachers were grooming children to be transgender."

None of what you just posted as your own thoughts makes sense.

The only new bit is this stuff from Mr. Ciccarelli, which is interesting. This is the first bit of actual evidence of someone saying that he was influenced by MAGA stuff.

you have gone from saying he was THE photographer for indybay which i proved to be a lie. then you said he was a paid employee of indybay which i asked for proof of and you didnt have any. now youre saying he has a long-time socialization with indybay. what does that mean? "long time socialization". you were obviously ignorant of what indybay was when you first brought it up, but i did point out to you that the about section on their website says indybay is...
"San Francisco Bay Area Indymedia involves volunteer participants and allied collectives organized along anti-authoritarian principles of open and transparent decision-making processes, including open public meetings; a form of modified consensus; and the elimination of hierarchies."

based on the last 60 pages of this thread its clear to everyone that YOU have nothing. most of what you have posted here are lies, conspiracy theories and things you have just made up.

are you denying posting all those blogs and tweets alleging that pelosi and his attacker were involved in a gay tryst and were both in their underwear? like i said, anyone following this thread knows what you posted so you lying about it just makes no sense. why are you doing this to yourself?

Dude, he worked for Indybay and was very involved with that community. They are clearly very far left, and they organized many protests in front of Pelosi's house. You are clutching at straws if you think that I ever said he was the only photographer for that site - and whether he was paid or how much is completely irrelevant. He was/is part of that super leftist community, and he has been for 15+ years. They held many many protests in front of Pelosi's house. That's how he knew where that was in the first place.

All your little attempts to talk as if it matters how much money (if any) he got for taking photos and how many other photographers there are (of course there are other) are completely besides the point.

Show my posts then. There is not a single one where I stated as fact that they had any gay thing going on. There was a news report stating they were both in their underwear - which was later retracted (why?). None of that is a "conspiracy theory". It was a news report.

    dude, prove it.

you literally said he was the photographer for indybay.

youre the one who has said multiple times that he worked for indybay. generally if someone works for a place then they get paid to do so.

do you have proof that he was part of that community for "15+ years"? where are you getting that from? i notice you have shifted from saying he worked for them and was THE photographer to now saying he was "part of that super leftist community". pretty weak dude.

you were the one who said he worked for them and was THE photographer. you made the claims dude...im just asking for proof.

again, you are coming off really bad in this thread. why are you doing this to yourself?

you keep playing this little semantics game with everyone on here where you say "i stated as fact". i never said you "stated as fact". but again, you posted dozens of blogs and tweets making that allegation. why are you trying to lie about it now? why are you allowing yourself to come off so badly? are you really so stubborn that you cant stop lying, let alone admit you were wrong or jumped to conclusions?

Please show the "dozens of posts". Unless you are able to show "dozens of posts" of mine which "make that allegation", you are the one lying.

    Projection
    Reviewed by Psychology Today Staff

Projection is the process of displacing one’s feelings onto a different person, animal, or object. The term is most commonly used to describe defensive projection—attributing one’s own unacceptable urges to another. For example, if someone continuously bullies and ridicules a peer about his insecurities, the bully might be projecting his own struggle with self-esteem onto the other person.

The concept emerged from Sigmund Freud’s work on defense mechanisms and was further refined by his daughter, Anna Freud, and other prominent figures in psychology.

    What Is Projection?
Unconscious discomfort can lead people to attribute unacceptable feelings or impulses to someone else to avoid confronting them. Projection allows the difficult trait to be addressed without the individual fully recognizing it in themselves.

Who developed the concept of projection?

Freud first reported on projection in an 1895 letter, in which he described a patient who tried to avoid confronting her feelings of shame by imagining that her neighbors were gossiping about her instead. Psychologists Carl Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz later argued that projection is also used to protect against the fear of the unknown, sometimes to the projector’s detriment. Within their framework, people project archetypal ideas onto things they don’t understand as part of a natural response to the desire for a more predictable and clearly-patterned world.

More recent research has challenged Freud’s hypothesis that people project to defend their egos. Projecting a threatening trait onto others may be a byproduct of the mechanism that defends the ego, rather than a part of the defense itself. Trying to suppress a thought pushes it to the mental foreground, psychologists have argued, and turns it into a chronically accessible filter through which one views the world.

The only new thing that has been posted here recently are the statements in the NY Times article by this man who apparently employed Mr. DePape for a while and who thinks Mr. DePape's conspiracy theories are influenced by MAGA. That's interesting. Thanks, @txtony.

It's still hearsay, and it contradicts his previous life history and the statements by the mother of his children, but it gives a bit more credence to the theory that he could have been influenced both by his former life's left-wing conspiracy theories but then also by "right-wing" conspiracy theories later on.
