I understand, but I'll take the trade that led to two rings ;)

Not to toot my own horn but the " Game over, my friendos" that I stole from Cangrejero is unbeatabol in the post season this year. I thought of Cangrejero and Carlos Delgado. Hope they enjoyed this series!

The other thing nobody really brought up is there was a base open and they could have just walked Alvarez based on his reputation as spoiler. And, it sets up the force out at homeplate. Sure, it could backfire that way as well but do you really want to pitch to Yordan with 2 on? Not really.

Hats off to Maldy for being smart enough to crowd the base after he saw Wheeler throw inside, pretty much starting the rally to force Rob Thompson's hand and knock Wheeler out of the game. He saw Rizzo do the same against the Astros to get on base and get away with it and pocketed it and then pulled it out in the most crucial moment. It worked like gangbusters. Phillies stupidly challenged it and threw Wheeler off his rhythm because of the delay. Atluve and Pena then get hits immediately after. We all know what happened from there...

Wasn't there supposed to be some more intimate party this morning somewhere? Is there no TV coverage or anything?

We saw how well walking Yordan in a similar situation to pitch to Bregman went for the Mariners. Bregman had been hotter than Alvarez in the series too.

You can debate pulling Wheeler, but walking the bases loaded and putting the winning run into scoring position there would have definitely been the wrong call.

Maldy did the exact same thing against the Braves last year. He worked a walk instead of being hit.

Man, Philly lost the MLS cup also. Sadly it was to a LA team.

That's right. I was trying to remember if that was in the WS against the Braves and, yes, he did the exact same thing.

I don't believe that Statcast number. It had to be further than 450 feet.
