I hope Charles Barkley and James Harden enjoyed the Game, Philadelphia sellouts

Charles Barkley with the Phillies jersey on, acting like Houston was never his team

Rockets still owe Barkley money, lol.
Harden has always been a sellout

I don't think she was trying say the Astros were cheaters, she was just setting him up to respond to that reaction.

Framber Valdez has already logged 7 wins in the post season at the ripe young age of 28. That is the most by a pitcher by the age of 28.

The Astros are 10-2 in his 12 post season starts.

You gotta wonder what would have happened if they left Wheeler in. I would have hoped we would have at least tied it on a sac fly and then build on that.

Ryan Pressly is now 5th place all time with 12 saves in the post season.

These managers just didn't seem to understand that Yordan like's hitting lefties and he's pretty good at it. Did the Philly manager not see the Seattle manager's postgame when he made the same mistake? lol

This series feels a bit like Boston last year. Red Sox and Phillies' bats came into the series red hot and things looked a little bleak going down 2-1. Then our pitching staff totally flipped the script and shut those bats down and reeled off 3 wins in a row. Also felt some echoes of the Nats series only reversed with Wheeler being pulled too soon and Yordan capitalzing. Coming back home up 3-2 but not letting it slip away, partly cause we had the pitching advantage this time and possibly cause they learned from their mistakes.

This victory certainly exercised some demons for the team, in more ways than one. It just had to be, and I think the team and city can be at peace now. There will always be haters, but their voices will be muted by the sweet, definitive statement of this series and redemption earned.

Pena was MVP but you could have made a case for some more guys that were deserving

    Framber
    Bregman
    Presley
    Abreau

We didn't have a great post season hitting but our pitching was so ridiculous that we scratched out 3 or 4 runs a lot of games and won.

Hilarious that the narrative coming in to the post-season was that he was suspect and maybe shouldn’t even start game 2 of the ALDS.

Framber is a horse, has ace-like dominance in both the regular and post-season. He should be prime extension candidate #1 this off-season.

In that series, Cora flat-out said that Maldanado (and Stromm) completely flipped the game-plan on how to pitch them.

This series was a little different (Boston dominated games 2 and 3, whereas Philly really only hit well the 2nd half of game 1 and game 3)…. And while Maldy may have added something, the series literally changed when Javier’s invisiball dominated the Philly bats unlike any other pitcher all playoffs.

It also helps that the Philly manager was anything but predictable/consistent/fixed in his lineup choices and bullpen pitchers.

The dynamic duo of studs Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler:

    18 2/3 IP
    14 ER

Phillies would go on to lose 3 of their 4 starts, costing them the World Series.

Has anyone ever eaten ox tails? Apparently, Dusty eats it and the TV crew were eating it. I have no idea what an ox tail tastes like?
