Our next coach will love Sengun. I don’t get what Silas doing other than tanking.

im really not sure why people care so much if Sengun fouls out. We suck, let him foul out. stop trying to nerf this dude and let him play through it.

naw fam Sengun, Jalen, Tari and Bari would be good with another coach. Even KPJ as a spot up shooter would be good without trying to be the damn PG.

1 year later, still the same story. Still ridiculous as it was.

As each game passes, it becomes funnier and funnier there are still people who think at this point in time, Sengun isn't better than KPJ and Green.

kPJ - the PG - can't even make a pass to a wide open person standing in the corner. How many times lately has the person had to leave their shooting pocket to swing their arms out to try and corral the ball.

It's almost embarrassing that the lesser heralded rookies from last season and this season, are better than the 2nd and 3rd picks respectively.

Quadruple mega statmuse - only the second player with the first name Al to have a 15-10 sub 20 game since Al Jefferson against the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1492

The first step should be to start scouting better coaches, go finding someone who knows how to educate our young prospects, guide them to learn at a faster pace.
once nails down a candidate, get rid of silliass.
second step, If under a new hc n his system, jelen n bari still can't learn as fast as they could, it's time to CUT LOSES…in the meantime ppl need to start reflecting on things - two bad picks in a row could hardly be deemed as an accident, there got to be someone to scrutinize stone's ability on running a rebuilding team n operate draft picks.

Silas is just part of a bigger picture; because the organization watches the games, too. One would think Stone has a vested interest in Sengun looking like a star, because it makes him look better. Same with Garuba, but to a lesser extent.

The only thing I can come up with as to why Silas keeps Sengun & Garuba down is to make it seem like they are getting coached up by him. They show growth to someone not paying attention.

I really hate it when people who make excuses about Sengun always fouls a lot. Who the f do you expect to defend the paint? That was the same excuse last year and we had Wood who was allergic defending the paint.

Piss off and play a non contact sport or something

Idk why u pulling green into this anti sengun fansty of yours.

Kpj is the one who controls the offense. Green is just there, neglected sengun pfffft.

The other part of this - which is never touched by the crowd who search for straws to clutch at to downplay Sengun's abilities - is that Sengun's foul dramas would be lessened if the perimeter players weren't turnstiles on defense and wouldn't let their man waltz right past them the vast majority of the time.

my bad, yeah, Stone swapped Alpi from OKC, selected JC with 1st rnd 24th and this year selected Eason with 1st rnd 17th, without any question, it's brilliant! these maneuvers could make us believe he deserves a A; however, till now, non of the a/m kids could be deemed as future franchise players to build around, you know what i mean when i uses 'build around', it's all about the ceilings of their talent, how far they can go.

theoretically to say, the ceilings of young prospects ranking from 1-5 in NBA draft should be much higher than those who stands lower than them, they used to be well accepted as elites in their class, and naturally should be be treated as cornerstones for rebuilding teams, with that being said, for rockets, IF both JG and Bari experiment busted, we gotta scale down Stone's score to B- accordingly, and then we gotta start from scratch, two seasons down to the drain.

so, all i said in my last post stems from a big IF, a precondition -
if our two top picks fvcked, i.e. after two seasons we only got a buncha future role players with good quality, then we gotta SCRUTINIZE on Stone's work.

    1. Luka Dončić • DAL 36.7
    2. Giannis Antetokounmpo • MIL 33.3
    3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander • OKC 28.8
    4. Nikola Jokić • DEN 28.5
    5. Ja Morant • MEM 28.0
    6. Stephen Curry • GSW 27.9
    7. Damian Lillard • POR 27.1
    8. Jayson Tatum • BOS 27.0
    9. Kevin Durant • BRK 26.8
    10. Alperen Şengün • HOU 25.9
    11. Anthony Davis • LAL 24.6
    12. Donovan Mitchell • CLE 24.2
    13. Pascal Siakam • TOR 24.2
    14. Tyrese Haliburton • IND 23.9
    15. Joel Embiid • PHI 23.7

Sengun moves to number 10 PER in the NBA. 8 games played, 210-minute sample.

    Last year's splits: 47/25/71
    This year's splits: 60/27/76

I hope we see a continued rise in 3P% and FT% in particular. Silas should be giving him the neon green light to launch threes, even If he isn't there yet. If Alperen continues to improve his shooting over the next 3-4 years, It is impossible to put an offensive ceiling on him. He could be a HOF offensive talent. Good lord, if he can get to 35% from three and 80% from the line, IT IS A WRAP.

“We started good, I think, but the second quarter, we lost our focus,” Rockets center Alperen Sengun said. “I can be better, much better. I’m not doing well, I think. I can do a better job in the defense. I’m going to work a lot on this.”

(And I still believe Alperen is going to get there on defense. Already taking ownership and accountability...)

Another promising improvement to note is in regard to the turnovers and the fouls. For all the incredible offense that he generates, he hardly ever turns the ball over this year. He is fouling less, but we still need work when it comes to hitting those rotations on time so he doesn't have to foul. To be fair, the entire team does. Help the helper, please.

    Last year's per36 TOV and PF: 3.5 & 5.2
    This year's per36 TOV and PF: 2.4 & 4.6
