I would trade Porter for a point guard but NO general manager wants him….wait a minute. I would trade Porter for Irving

KPJ showed intention to pass the ball at times. That is nice to see. But he went 1/9 from 2pt, most of these shots are driving into traffic only to take a highly contested, unbalanced shot. He is not good at it. It kills the whole rhythm of the team. He should take at most 1-2 of these a game. Using the ball more and trying to create something has made him even worse than last year.

yes they play like a pick up game and lack discipline. No veteran presence to stop these kind of things. No hard coaching.

Yes, that is a positive. Gordon as well. Still using him mainly as a post up option. They should try more Sengun high-post plays. I mean this team needs to find some playmaking somewhere. The viable options are

    1) Sengun
    2) TyTy
    3) Nix

I am okay with trying out anything, but the current role of KPJ. It is obvious that it does not and will not work. And it is bad for the whole team both individually and as a team.

The 20 minutes Sengun was in there his +/- was even. His on-off over the season is just -1.9, which sadly is one of the better values on the team. I don't think you can with good evidence lay this on him. On the PG side, yeah, we clearly don't have any guards that are great at positioning. We have boatloads of SG's and SF's.

    Im torn

Send KPJ to the bench and make tyty a starter

Or keep him in the lineup and maintain the worst offense in the league to get Wemby???

Eason’s assets to Garuba for a clean dunk was the Rocket highlight tonight.

What’s Garuba got on Eason that he is giving him his assets?

    5 Nov - L 117-129 to MIN

    (On turnovers)

"Once they started switching so early in the game they weren't switching and um we were getting the ball moving and then they started switching and that's when the ball stopped moving quite as much."

Was busy watching a Houston team win a championship. How did our amazing back court look today?

On one hand I like the obvious direction to get the ball out of KPJ's hands this game.

But I mean giving it to Green more is not the way to go to improve the offense.

Green's off ball defensive awareness was absolutely woeful this game as well. Don't know what was happening with him but his head clearly wasn't in the game defensively today.

plus minus metric isn’t the end all be all of player performance. Its just one metric that paints a composite of a player. Besides it doesn’t really measure defensive performance or individual offensive performance. Just plain basketball man. Watching how someone plays with your eyes. He can’t defend bigs or guard the paint. 60 points in the paint tonight.

+/- does not measure individual performance. But apart from that Sengun was 7/8 fg, drew many fouls, and makes the team look like a team on offense. So as much as he could not defend, they could not defend him. The overall effect is positive and the overall value of keeping Sengun on the court will always come from maximizing his offensive value and minimizing his defensive liabilities. In that respect, our guard and defense does not really help either.
