I anticipate a win and a championship tonight. I have looked forward to it all season long and can not wait to see it. I also anticipate a long dull off season that will certainly follow that championship. An entire winter with no baseball. It is conflicting to both hope for and to dread the same event.
I miss having it on the radio. I wonder if I could just stream audio from random games I didn't catch during the season, just to have the chatter and the sound of pitches hitting mitts in the background.
I wish Milo Hamilton were around to call it. He will be in spirit. To think he missed the whole six year run (so far) is depressing. Hopefully, he got to...and gets to...see it. Same with my folks.
Central Europe … 6 hours ahead of Houston at the moment. And I just agreed with the family. 3am alarm for me, should be 6th inning. If they are winning after 7 I wake up everyone to celebrate together. If losing, I watch alone then cry myself to sleep.
