Then why was Elon crying about advertisers doing free market things and activists using free speech?

everything I see shows this being a complete L of a purchase, no wonder he tried to squirm out of it in court…I guess his worshippers see it as some genius move tho

advertisers don’t want to be associated with “free speech” Twitter because we all know what “free speech” means when it comes to the right wing…they just want to spew hateful rhetoric and slurs online without having to worry about consequences or blowback…advertisers said “feel free, but we’re out”

    now he’s begging for $8

any of these social media co. that loudly sells "free speech" always means right wing nuttery. youtube has made money off traffic from their white power userbase for decades but they get away with it because they publicise the idea they are against disinformation misinformation.

The advertising industry cares about return on ad spend. Not free speech. Elon knows this, he should - he's smart, but he doesn't advertise at all - so who knows.

elon talks about free speech and then says he is being censored when advertisers bail and users decide they want to leave. are they not exercising their free speech too?

and like marjorie taylor green/mickey rourke, he thinks that he is entitled to corporate money. MTG/MR says she/he wants to investigate corporations that stopped donating to republicans and elon is whining about corporations taking their ad dollars elsewhere.

true, but i also think they dont want to be associated with a platform that allows its users to spew hate-speech. its bad for business.

They are talking about the woke folks in these companies. Every CEO would like to get rid of them. They do no work and are just leeches who use the company's resources as a platform for their useless virtue signaling.

I find it fascinating how many of the people who do not use Twitter are quick to criticize new solutions yet they are so oblivious to the corruption behind the scenes.
