Not a popular opinion here, but I reeeeally hope it's open tomorrow. The weather will be perfect after this storm blows through tonight, setting up for a spectacular sunset over downtown viewed from my seats on the first base side! Woohoo! Go Stros! Spoiler is it too early to start drinking for the game?
Yup and downed a rare porterhouse while on the can after slapping his wife for giving him lip. Yet he still managed to drop a couple racial slurs to the valet on his way to driving home drunk.
It was a joke. Having said that, I am old enough to remember when domestic violence was more tolerated and excused, when people consumed a lot more red meat, when racial slurs were more common and more folks smoked and drank. I saw it with my own eyes. What is and isn’t socially acceptable has changed and will continue to change.
Back to a reasonable take. Hold it. I'm not on PDOTW, am I? I keep forgetting which platform I'm on. Go Astros!
The blue collar fans who would do that have been squeezed out of the ball game. The WS creates a White Collar Crowd.
I thought O&G was dead now. Just waiting for the price spike after draining the last drop from the Strategic (LOL) Oil Reserve. I can't wait for the diesel shortages to hit. But we should be through celebrating before then.

There have been several saves which began with positioning. The 10% chance catch by Tucker must have been position because he didn't have to move far to make that catch. McCormick was playing deep enough or he would not have had any chance at that ball. But this one require athleticism as well. The catch percentage must be based ONLY on exit velo and launch angle to get to those percentages. They need to adjust for positioning to be more relevant. Who are the optimal position crew? They need kudos.
Those were the days when everyone knew the NL and AL strike zones were different. And everybody knew the Braves got the low outside the zone strikes. To their credit, they could hit the low outside the zone consistently if the umpires were going to give it to them.
He threw multiple innings in game 1, so wasn’t available for game 2, and wasn’t needed in the other games. If Verlander would have gotten knocked out early in his last game I imagine Garcia would have come in.
Depending on how long Framber goes tonight and what the score is, I wouldn't mind seeing Garcia make an appearance. Especially considering how much this Philly team has seen Abreu, Montero and Pressly now. Like if Framber gives you 5 and you've got the lead, I could see Garcia getting 2-3 innings. But Dusty may prefer not to rock the boat and go with the bullpen strategy that's worked thus far.
