If this dude wasn't an integral part of the Nets, Kyrie would have been off the team so quick, a la Meyers Leonard. Glad Kyrie is getting some punishment, but if the punishment only results in a 5 game suspension + an Instagram apology, that's so incredibly tame.
Adrian Wojnarowski: "The concern in Brooklyn is: How long does Kevin Durant hang in there... You can imagine a scenario where KD perhaps revisits his [trade] request from the summer at some point, although I don't believe that's a consideration right now for him." https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...ision-suspend-brooklyn-nets-star-kyrie-irving
You can also find Mein Kampf on Amazon. Takes some serious mental backflips to move this blame to Amazon, imo. “The only reason”, no. There are several hundred reasons you shouldn’t hold Amazon accountable.
The media coverage of this is absolutely insane -- any news program that can figure an angle to work it in goes for it. Can College Game Day resist... STAY TUNED!
Interesting. Your reason why Amazon shouldn't also be held accountable is because they sell many other forms of hate speech.
Probably a DD topic - But you cant say Jewish people run the world because that is racist. but some jewish people also happen to be at the top of most of industry. Then the people spewing anti-Semitic stuff that are getting packed up can say "see, looks what's happening, I told you!" Then it just starts all over again.
That's really more a feature of conspiracy paranoia in general You can always cite a secret conspiracy for whatever you want and if no evidence of it pops up, it's fine because it's a secret- then anything else that does happen is always interpreted as part of your conspiracy.
yeah im not disagreeing with you. But the way people go so hard on preventing being Anti-Semitic, it just makes the paranoia grow. What If they treated anti-Semitism like they do being anti-black or any other type of racism, there would be no paranoia. it's like anti-Semitism is a special kind of racism while all others are just fine..
Exactly this. I never would have learned what that book/movie was about if it wasn’t for all the coverage a tweet is getting.
I'm pretty sure lots of other types of racism/sexism/hate are not just fine with a lot of people - in fact there's a literal entire multi billion industry of people who define their whole existence as being in opposition to those people and to "cancel culture" (or in other words being held to account for being a giant douche) You may have heard of some of them, Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Donald Trump, the entire Republican party.... etc
