KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

He could teach KPJ the nuances of PG.

All the players looks lost, some frustrated and tension seems to be growing among the team, all derivatives of bad coaching and roster problems. I might be reading too much into it, but it is probably not a coincidence that the only young player with significant pro experience on winning teams (Sengun) seems less lost than others.

As much as I see kpj as a guard project waste of time and hurting everyone including himself, it is what it is. Maybe there would be shifts like yesterday in play style that will make things better, or a major change like firing of Silas. Other than that I think we just have to watch how things develop and hope for the best.

Silas should have been fired last year.

Technical things like screens is one aspect. The non-technical things are missing too, keeping the team disciplined, composed regardless of score, putting in the effort, communication. EG doesn't really help in any aspect. The vet should not be the player who puts up his hands up and cry every time he loses the ball.

Personal success has always been more important than winning for KPJ.

I really wanted Silas to succeed and I know this is only his 3rd year, but I'm starting to lose faith in his ability to instill and execute a system (offensively or defensively). The roster is a huge point of contention for me.

After the D'Antoni days of only playing a 6-8 man rotation I never thought that I'd be saying this but i would love to see the player rotation narrowed down to an 8 man rotation. Right now we play any combination of:

    1. KPJ
    2. Green
    3. EG
    4. Jabari
    5. Sengun
    6. Tate (when healthy)
    7. Matthews
    8. KMJ
    9. Tari
    10. Bruno (when healthy)
    11. Garuba
    12. Nix
    13. JC (limited but has seen minutes)

Would love to see this paired down to 8-9 focusing primarily on our current and future core:

    1. KPJ (or drafted/traded PG)
    2. Green
    3. Tari
    4. Jabari
    5. Sengun
    6. KMJ
    7. Bruno
    8. EG (until traded then move JC to this spot)
    9 JC

All the rest would see limited minutes if my primary focus was developing our young talent. Feel for Tate but don't see him as part of core with Tari waiting in wings. Why we are dedicating so much playing time to other players when we know we aren't winning anything right now is frustrating to me.

Agreed mostly. You do need a back up PG. I wish they'd take a look at Tyty and see how much potential he has. I hope they trade Gordon and Martin and get a serviceable veteran PG, a guy who doesn't mind playing backup minutes and kind of show the kids some ropes.

my hope is... next offseason with plenty of cap room... we get a starting pg and center....
    then we're running:
pg/JG/Tari/JS/center... with kpj as 6th... Sengun 1st big off the bench.... JC/Tate... and whoever is left on the bench.. so yeh... those guys should be our focus...

Ego should be gone by the deadline... KMJ can go...

I know. It's a shame. Hope TyTy won't be like last year's Garuba. PG is our thinnest position.

My new favourite from KPJ is the 'pass it to a player so badly that they have to go out of their way to try and get the ball'.

Oh these are wide open players too standing there ready to launch it as soon as they catch it.

Don't you just love when your PG cannot make a basic pass.
