On the MVP. Not wanting to jinx things but we have to win first. That being said... In the end our most consistent player all playoffs long has been Pena. He started off as Alvarez's setup man, getting on in the ALDS games 1 and 2 before winning game 3 for us. Then the ALCS MVP. And in the World Series he has had clutch hits all series long in the 4 games he has played in, because let's face it, no one showed up for game 3. So in the end, if he holds serve for game 6 (and 7 if necessary), and we win, Pena will be the MVP.
I said it before game 3 that I’d be more comfortable with Javier lined up for a potential game 7, but I’ll take Framber and Urquidy/Garcia/Lance/Javier combo if needed.
That was before the no hitter. lol. I had a panic attack! I was delirious! There was a lot of stress! I'm innocent!! I had one bad moment! I CALLED THE GAME 4 WIN AND GAME 5 WIN (BY DEFAULT)!!!
Jose Alvarado, the dude that hugged Jose on the field during the ALCS and is single-handedly responsible for waking up his bat, is the real MVP of this WS.
I give it to javier. We looked dead and their bats were on fire before he showed up. That carried over to today
All 5 games, not 4. Yes he would end up winning the MVP. He can go 0-5 with all Ks in game 6 and still easily win it. Javier would have to win game 7 to get it. Nobody in the history of the World Series in which it's gone 6 games has ever started just 1 game and been named the MVP. The person to watch out for is Framber. If he dominates Saturday, he will win the MVP.
This is base clearing if it gets past mancini https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ckhj28agfoQ/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
