This might be a blessing in disguise. Morey gets to look at this team without a playmaker and see how the team functions without Harden, while coached by Rivers. It's not going to be pretty, but it might cause Morey to make some moves.
The team will go back to an Embiid-centric offense which is where they thrived last year. The Harden offense is great for Harden's stats, but it doesn't really do anything to maximize anyone else. I suspect they will start winning more.
Maxey has absolutely exploded next to Harden in these games without Embiid. Maxey scoring 19 per game in the 6 games with Embiid. 2-4 record Maxey scoring 34.7 per game in the 3 games without Embiid. 2-1 record So far this season Philly is +3.2 points per 100 possessions with Harden on the floor and -2.8 points per 100 with him off the floor. So far this season Philly is -1.9 points per 100 possessions with Embiid on the floor and +5.2 points per 100 possession with Embiid off the floor.
Do you know what assets he has left in terms of picks? Does he have anything left in order to do trades?
Team will gel better and win more now. Maxey again will start to flourish and not be just a spot up shooter
Maxey's stats are his best yet, and he had a career-high 44 just a few games ago. All with Harden alongside him. Not sure why you're assuming Maxey will now be even better because the team's primary playmaker is done for a month, but okay.
but why ? they aint winnig nothing with this roster... they are better off tanking to pair biid and harden with victor
Watching the YouTubes. . . . the Philly Phans are phar phar more pissed at DOC than anyone . . . . . I cannot say I would feel any better It's like DanAndToni allowing players to do 40 minutes a game every game Rocket River
