This, this right here is a problem for me, the answer from Silas regarding discipline is a problem. This young team needs discipline when it comes to offensive and defensive execution. It's the coaches job to instill that discipline and hold players accountable when they don't execute. I don't care if we're losing as a young team I expect that, but we actually look undisciplined in our offensive and defensive execution.

The question that I have is can you productively develop all of these young players while experimenting with a player at what is arguably the most important position on the court - Point Guard?

This is KPJ's fourth year in the league, he's talented but he is still struggling with being an affective PG. How long before his struggles start to effect the progress/development of our rookies and 2nd year players?

I'm truly asking because I'm patient and know that young players take time to develop into their best NBA selves, but when I watch the Rockets I find myself wondering if having KPJ at point is what's best for the team or him? Is he a positive to the other players development or negative that's slowing process?

You know you would be a much better poster if you did not fill every post with stuff like 'you don't know youtube, you don't know internet, you are a casual, you are sensitive etc.' . It would be something if there were any truth to it, but you are wrong every single time almost and in this instance it looks like you are lying. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt but this is the reasonable conclusion.

 

It would have been a much less visible issue if there was a veteran back-up guard or even some true veteran presence in the other roles to balance things out.

 

Here is the funny part of all of this, I have no clue what language that was at the bottom and as it happened to be in Turkish that is hilarious.

This is where I'm at now. I actually think he could be our starting SF or 6th man, but he just does not have the mindset of a PG. Think of him cutting to the basket more and getting passes for easy layups or dunks.

I'm afraid the experiment will continue until we have a new coach. Silas is too invested in KPJ and wouldn't have the heart or balls to take him out of the role.

 

Just work on your internet skills, youtube settings, jumping to conclusions and you'll be good to go .

2. He is in his 4th year but only 2nd at PG...still learning.

I would love it if Silas would give him 3-5 plays to call as he comes up the court to reinforce his role it just seems that we don't support our players with an attention to detail or planning.

Agree, was disappointed that we let DJ Augustine go. Don't think he would have mattered much in the Win\Loss column but could setup the offense and coach some of the younger players on the subtle things that lead to success... Like how to properly and consistently use a screen.

I guess that's what E.G. is for, but he's no point guard and can sometimes be just as suspect with his ball handling.
