Stephanie's dumb subs let a W in the bag slipped away last night (against LAC)…i can barely get over it now. It could have been 2-6… My question is, wht could be the last straw that might intrigue the front office to fire him? It seems, for a rebuilding team, no matter Ws/Ls, always acceptable, merely difference is play-in or tanking, but, ain't there any KPIs to evaluate a HC in the process of rebuilding!? It's crystal clear silas has long become the major obstacle that prevent our young prospects from developing at a fast pace, no doubt he ain't gonna mentor them nothing, instead, he either gets them benched or sub out wrong timing. Anybody who's expecting some miracle happens, need to wake up now. Those on the social media who once tried to be kind n spoke for him, starts jump ship now smh
Bros Stone told him to keep them competitive not to win I think the quote was “competitive losses” as to what they wanted to see
Just another unproven guy. After Silas, I dont see the risk for the unknown being worth it. It'll be a critical time in development. You want to start giving these young players reason to want to stay on this team in the next several years. Players are now impatient and looking to team up by 25. One wrong coach and a waste of 3 more years= trade demands and starting rebuild all over again. As soon as you know we're a miserable bottom feeder going on a decade. This becomes even more important if we actually become the team that drafts Wemby. If im not mistaken, weren't there several other vipers coaches that were fan favorites here for the rockers head coach position? Did any of them pan out? What makes this new fan favorite any different?
Chris Finch (Timberwolves; 66-64) Nick Nurse (Raptors; 190-125) Matt Brase (former Rockets assistant; now in Italy) Joseph Blair (Sixers/Timberwolves/current Wizards assistant) Mahmoud Abdelfattah (Rockets assistant)
Please I really hope when I wake up tomorrow. I better see a notification that Silas is either fired or stepped down as a HC.
The record is not the problem - it’s how ineffective the offense looks and how there has been little adjustments to change that. I’ve said it before - Silas has a formula for winning that made sense with Luka as his PG and would have made sense with Harden…but without those two guys running his “system” he is failing the guys on our roster because he has no counter other than to make our roster play the only way he knows how - NOT in a way that takes advantage of this roster’s skill sets.
That’s exactly my point - his job as a coach is to develop this roster. If the only way he knows how to coach is to give a player a 35+usage and they create for others than we are losing valuable development time waiting for a time and place that will never come because neither KPJ nor Green are natural facilitators. There are 27 other teams in the league that don’t play like Harden or Luka led teams - if Silas can’t find another system to run, then he isn’t the right coach. Plain and simple.
i agree he sucks, but you're just not gonna have a good offense with a bunch of kids, this is real life
I said it then and I'll say it now, KPJ is not the right player to play alongside Jalen Green. If the idea is to develop Jalen Green as a franchise player, the KPJ extension was a terrible decision. I also don't think Silas is the coach these guys and this team needs. The growth process is going to be painful and we have to have a lot of patience, but those two aspects are obvious.
Why even bother playing the game when they switch then Stephen? Just forfeit. This low key sounds like Silas saying "can't do this because Sengun is at the 5".
