There definitely is a fine line. Pelosi is a obviously corrupt politician but evil isn't a word I would describe her with. She's a normal human with basic self interests who got suckered into the deep rabbit hole of political grifting and corruption.

We should be able to discuss these corruption issues while at the same time having level headed discussion about it without resorting to demonization.

At the end of the day empathy here is the most important tool. Empathy isn't sympathy. Empathy allows me to understand where Pelosi is coming from and understand that there is nothing inherently evil about her. She's merely a product of a system that incentives bribing of our law makers. Most people in her position do exactly what she does. She's just more prominent. The best way to humanize someone like Pelosi is to ask oneself if they too would take the advantages Pelosi had to get her and her husband wealthy? And most of us if we were honest with ourselves would. So it's the system that is the problem more so than a politician like Nancy.

Lol. How nice of u to give him an out, it still doesnt excuse his hypocritical behavior in guessing or wondering about the political preference of a mental person when its suits him.

Man wouldn't even acknowledge that it's the conservatives that have been demonizing pelosi for years w/ violent rhetoric and this lunatic lapped it all up.

No time to read. Do we have any Trumpistas deep enough into their bs to believe the attack was a false flag?

It isn't a false flag. ATW suggested it might be a lovers dispute between a gay prostitute and Mr. Pelosi. Haven't confirmed. Waiting on ATW's sources for confirmation though.

The backlog is created by our ignoring the law. Cases are allowed to drag on for years when there is absolutely no doubt that someone is an illegal immigrant.
Yes. DACA was a stupid executive order that ignored the law, and the courts really screwed up by saying it couldn't be repealed when it was. If you don't want your kid deported, don't bring them in illegally.
There are plenty of able-bodied workers that are living on benefits. I see them all the time in my work.

Pelosi is privileged and benefits from the system - no doubt about it. But she's not a villain, just a politician.

By the same token, we have to be careful not to villainize Trump or the Supreme Court. Again, the crazies pay attention. Criticism is good, but when it comes to personally demonizing people, it's not helpful. Call Pelosi Corrupt. Call Trump a criminal even. But any hint to their death or hurting them is unacceptable in my book.

It's so funny because you think your lack of empathy with a pragmatic approach is so cool to you when you don't even understand what you want is stupid and not pragmatic either.

We don't need bleeding heart strings to show you why your desire here is stupid.

Again, a key aspect of fascism is very simplistic solutions to issues like crime, migrants etc. It's like you get your morality from comic book action hero movies and that's how society solved it's problems. So child like.

Seeing a hypocrite like u triggers me.

How about u make another thread with more faux indignation and outrage about the leftist deplorable behavior nowadays.

I'm not defending ATW nor am I interested in whether he is a hypocrite or anyone else on this forum for that matter. Just here to debate without getting personal. If people want to change their opinion that's totally cool in my book. It's where people end up, not where they start that matters. If someone changes their mind, that's a good thing, not a bad thing.

I feel we'd have more productive conversations if we all stopped personalizing everything.

It is actually anti-pragmatic. Pragmatism is what created the problem, ignoring the law in favor of public policy objectives. I think it is adorable that you are calling me a fascist, when I am in favor of drastically reducing the size and power of the government, especially the federal government. It is almost like you have no idea what fascism is beyond something you don't like.

    Okay.
So what makes something authoritarian but not fascist?

Keep in mind fascism is a subset of a type of authoritarianism so not everything authoritarian is fascist.

Just so I know if your definition of fascism is so broad it's effectively useless to the point where it just means "authoritarianism".
