I tried to make Cubano sandwiches not so long ago using the recipe from that movie "Chef" where they did the food truck serving Cubanos. I f-ed it up. The meat was tough. The marinade didn't penetrate. The flavor didn't come through. Bah!

Exactly why I'm glad my parents made the decision back in 1980 to leave Philly and raise my brother and I in Houston. I can't imagine growing up with an entire region of such miserable a**holes. The family I still have there are the stereotypical Philly schmucks, too. Just miserable people who think acting like the biggest f***ing jerk possible is some sort of positive attribute.

FedEx offers same day delivery. I will chip in to get him one if that is what it takes to wake his lumber up.

I wouldn't start **** with Mac. I was at Gallery a few years ago and he was loading big pieces of furniture into box trucks with his crew. Dude has that wiry-immortal-dad strength.

I'll never stop rooting for the Astros, but I do get the feeling that we're basically facing the 94/95 Rockets of these MLB playoffs, a low-seeded team clicking with a central and inspiring superstar performance.

If the Astros don't rally to take this world series, I feel like they'll become a sort of Buffalo Bills story, but as if the Bills leaked a little air out of the football in their first super bowl and Norwood missed that last second field goal. I just mean: a great and dominant team that just didn't get it done in the "big game."

    Anyway:

Altuve hit two hard balls to start the game, unfortunately they were for outs. Is what it is.

They will. Houston will be the Buffalo bills, the Atlanta Braves of the 90s except for the Astros it would be.
They could only win if they were cheating.
    Sucks.

We can still flip the script, win tonight and it’s 2-2.

I sure hope you are right. It would be a good plan for tonight.

The Houston sports curse is still in effect. It has never gone away. It teases Houston fans, then it LAUGHS at us for being naive to think it has gone away. It still has a DEATH GRIP on Football that it MAY NEVER let go.

40+ years of Houston Fandom has taught me to expect the worst.....EVERYTIME. Don't even get mad anymore.

On Lance, tipping pitches and throwing bad pitches aren’t mutually exclusive. It’s easier to sit on and hit a bad pitch if you know what’s coming.

Javier has been the Astros most dominate pitcher for the Astros the last few months of the season. If the Astros win tomorrow could be a possible match of Verlander vs Syndergaard. If the Astros win today they'll be in the driver's seat.

What's going to happen to this board if Dusty let's Will Smith blow a save?

    Just one game.

Astros have arguably their best pitcher on the mound today against Nola.

Win the game and then Philly is feeling immense pressure to take care of game 5 with Verlander vs there bullpen.

    One game at a time.

    Yesterday was over early.

I'm going to reach through the internet and punch the next person who uses the word "tipping" square in the c**k.

    Get over it.

It feels like when we stole the Mariners soul with the Alvarez walkoff in Game 1. I hope that the Stros players have forgotten last night already.

Credit to the Mariners. They bounced back in Game 2. The Astros won that one, but it was a close game and they had a shot at tying it up in the 9th. And we all know how hard it was to finish them off in Game 3.
