I’ll say that Sabonis isn’t a top 20 player this season and after the trade last year, top 40-ish. But there is only one reason HLM specifically said Sabonis and Vucevic are average role players. Only one reason. God knows if Wood would have put up 20/12/7 HLM would be eating ol buddies booty.

Brown outplayed Tatum in a lot of games and carried them at times. Those other guys has made it the playoffs and are just better players. I said Sengun is our 2nd best player right now. I’m not hating on him, I just speak the truth.
I think some sengun fans often get trigger by American fans who would rank new European players lower bc they have a weird a$$ bias. Most of them r quite ignorant and reject the notion that European players could b as good if not better than American players. They would only acknowledge a few European players after a season or two. I don't think it's them being racist or anything like how some sengun fans paint it, more like ignorance more than anything. Folks who truly enjoy the game will like players regardless of where they come from. Side note, anyone that watches sengun plays at this young age of 20 and says it's like any other average Euro needs to get their eye checked. Man is really doing extraordinary things as a 20 yr old.

What makes him awful? I would suggest you actually look at the numbers for his defensive ratings before you say something like that. Sabonis has better defensive metrics than Brown lol And yes, I care greatly about defense. Which is why I wanted Chet and Jabari. On paper they fit with Alp and Green. Which is also why I want Wemby. Perimeter oriented big on offense that can anchor and help weak side on defense.

Sengun has the highest BBall IQ on offense on the team. One of the lowest BBall IQ's on defense on the team He is a 20 year old developing player, he has some major pluses, and some major weaknesses, give the man time to find his way. 20 years old he will get a lot lot better on both offense and defense.
