HBO Max has premiered the official full trailer for “A Christmas Story Christmas,” the sequel to the iconic 1983 family comedy “A Christmas Story”.

The original Ralphie, Peter Billingsley, is now 51 years old and returns to his iconic role alongside past cast members.

No longer an adorable tween, the trailer shows a now middle-aged man attempting to reconnect with his inner child and reconcile with the death of his father by returning to Cleveland St. with his new family.

His goal is to give the kids in his hometown the same type of magical Christmas he once had. Along the way, Ralphie will encounter childhood friends and make new ones to spread holiday cheer.

Zack Ward, R.D. Robb, Scott Schwartz and Ian Petrella also return for the new entry, whilst Erinn Hayes, River Drosche and Julianna Layne join the new run. The Clay Kaytis-directed film will have its premiere on HBO Max on November 17th.

The charm of the original was that it was told through the eyes of a child. Changing the perspective to that of a middle-aged man makes it a totally different movie, even if it strains for fit in as many callbacks as possible to the original.

Trash, like all xmas movies in 2020s. There's only one xmas movie you need to see and I lost the war on that and that movie is freaking DIE HARD!!! I'm not watching another one after that hard fought and lost battle.
