At least to my eye, baseball is the most "chance-y" of the three major sports that are popular here in the U.S. You could go 162-0 and run into some team that won the bare minimum to get into the playoffs, and lose to that team because they're a "team of destiny", or because they got "hot". Fortunately, the series is not over and we're only down 1-2.
If we do get to a game 7 my vote for starter is Urquidy, of course all hands on deck but thats who I start the game with. Anyone but Lance.
I really hope this game lights a fire under every single player's ass and we come out tomorrow guns blazing. Please guys prove me wrong for calling you chokers and show some heart and fire.
McCullers has two of the worst World Series appearances of all time. The record for most HR given up tonight and the EXTREMELY lucky 2017 game 7 choke job were he set a record for most hit batters (4) in only 2+ freaking innings. He got pulled before he wrecked that game and Morton of course saved the day.
Philly fans busting their nut prematurely It will be us that bust last and for twice as long Believe it.
Definitely a psychological difference. They way the Phillies came out guns blazing tonight was crushing. Luckily, as I said before, baseball appears to be very "chance-y", and the Astros could look completely different tomorrow.
Urquidy acquitted himself well tonight. If there's any positives from this game is that he shook off the rust, Dusty knows he's got an alternative to Lance in a Game 7, and the bullpen wasn't burned tonight(even Stanek barely threw any pitches).
Man if we come back and win this series Philly fans will turn Philadelphia into an apocalyptic wasteland and I'm here for it. Lmao
Past SIX seasons the Astros have only lost to teams from the East It's an aggressive part of the country and those guys are prob more battle-tested We just happen to have the Yankees' number
