I agree on both accounts. Though you never know how momentum would change at 3-0 instead of 7-0. At the same time, Yordan and Altuve doing their best Biggio and Bagwell impersonations doesn't help either.
I'm not worried about Javier. I'm worried about our offense. One hit total from the top 5 in your lineup isn't gonna beat anyone in the World Series.
This particular game all I hope now is.... 1st: Phillies don't break the Most HRs in a WS record (it would happen in only 8 innings too which makes it worse) 2nd: we avoid the shutout
Although this series is far from over, this game just hits different... Houston honegrown ace on the mound and they just basically treated him like a child... It seems it would've been different if any other pitcher got lit up .. Would've still felt 100% confident ..
The Astros need to win tomorrow and then in game 5 we have to start Valdez in game 5. We cannot roll verlander out there. We need the ground ball magic of Valdez.
damn Tucker just missed that . We got the dead balls . anyways . Lance just didnt execute . I thought it was a bad call to go 1st pitch breaking ball to harper . I knew it was coming . Harper certainly knew. Lance has abandoned his fastball . He did it last start too and managed to get through it ok . Not this time. Lance might eventually become a pitcher that can live like that . But not right now . Kiddy does ok even with a 93 mph one because he can locate . I dont think Lance was tipping . He was heavy breaking ball and his stuff flattened out towards the end. He made a big mistake to harper . Didnt see # 3 and 4 , was in the car. Anyways . We move on . Javier gotta bring it manana .
Every time we get to the world series since 2017 our weaknesses in the regular season get exposed and absolutely haunt us. It’s never our strengths putting us over the top. Always our weaknesses getting exposed and on display. I’m tired of them playing like dog crap in the WS.
I was responding to a comment saying Javier was going to get rocked. I agree offense will be the issue tomorrow particularly since the Phillies can throw Nola because of the rain delay.
I'm convinced this offense wouldn't have done a god damn thing if this was a 2-0 game rather than 7-0...
