Well, the Nets were willing to act.

Yet, their biggest problems still remain.

People will elect anyone that services their agenda no matter what baggage they carry. Twitter is about to become highly toxic now that EM has taken over.

Our picks are worthless if Ume is the coach.

Ume is a great coach but he's a strict disciplinarian and will probably grate on KD and Kyrie who want a push-over coach. No else plays consistent defense besides Ben Simmons but he's been killing them on offense and overall not that good. Kyrie is going through his Kanye phase and may get cancelled the same way. This still has a chance of imploding.

Can The Rockets let Brooklyn speak to Silas? He can freely go if he wants...

Firstly, I (we) have no idea if Durant/Kyrie were informed and/or signed off on this.
Durant in particular is on pins and needles with the Nets brass after how the off-season went.
So while its possible the Nets may get better because of this, its also possible it blows things up.

True, and based on said off-season reports Durant got half of what he demanded because of the media claiming he wanted both the coach/GM canned

So I guess up next is the GM or maybe the new coach they hire will be highly approved by Durant, we shall see

I see this as particularly troublesome for Kyrie.

Free thinkers don't like to be told what to do.

Feel like switching coaches during the season is historically not a sign of good things to come.

Twitter is a joke, a bunch of people trying to get attention and build their brand - I mean the silliness of it all.

BTW please follow me @DaDakota on Twitter.

Sorry, if you think that matters it doesn't. Nets fired their only shot and it will backfire. Coach wasn't the problem, the roster is and remains so. Simmons isn't going to magically turn into a basketball player. Nobody is firing Ume so when he doesn't take Durant and Kyrie's **** they are gone and the raging fire explodes. This doesn't last long. When they are gone, he is left to rebuild a team that DOESN'T have Tatum, Smart, Brown, etc. Those guys were playing great D when someone else was the coach before Udoka. I think he is a damn good coach but he has probably the absolute worst situation next to what is going to happen after LBJ and AD leave the Lakers. Remember, Kyrie came to the Nets from the Celtics so he will be fully aware of everything.

I don't remember any team got turned around with a coaching change during the season. But my memory isn't very reliable.
