I drafted Jalen in my fantasy league thinking he would be better than last season. Why has his shot turned absolutely putrid again? I cannot stand him adding the stupid get past your man and then look behind you and wait for them to catch up play that his backcourt buddy KPJ loves. I didn't think it would be this soon for KPJ to rub off on Green, but he has and they are a pain to watch right now.
Wait guys, let me paint my nails first then I gotta learn how not to force shots. Besides that, shooting isn’t the only way to score, I will learn about that as well. Just chill bro, we are creating a loser culture here.
How about the team's attitude towards tanking, they're all in this early I guess.. Thus the tangerines and bricks..
The defense was fantastic last night especially down the stretch, closing out Kennard and making George work hard for tough shots. That and that his few made baskets were later on was the sole silver lining
I understand where the OP is coming from in terms of not seeing a competitiveness or seriousness out of our "stars" or team. But, on the other hand, the management hasn't created a winning culture, so why would the team have the mindset of winners? Kids can't raise kids, we don't have many vets at all, not to mention any vets that have won anything. Coach Silas doesn't have the fire we're expecting to see from our players, so why would his team have it? The "Tank" is rolling in H-Town and I personally don't agree with teaching or accepting losing and expecting winning results.
that is correct. Coaches can def give Bari and Jalen more shots that are easier. We barely see Bari shout his turnaround jumper and we barely see Jalen get easy dunks in this offense. I remember with Harden, we were all crying back then too because Harden could never got easy shots. them 3's are long shots.
I'm getting tired of Jalen getting his layups blocked multiple times per game... each game lol. He needs to play smarter or change something.
Coach Silas sets the tone. Rebuilding teams existed before but I've never heard their coaches talk like they expect to lose every game. His personality is going to rub off on the 19 and 20 year olds.
He often finishes slow, like the actual finish in the basket. He attacks hard and fast then might try a finger roll, but he slows down and extends his arm, also turns his body, giving the defender an angle to block. He needs to square up and get the ball on the glass faster so they’re called goal tends.
