    A major flaw of the 1/6 committee is that they think if they slap an R label on some of the members/witnesses, they don't have to confront or discuss any countervailing opinions of what happened that day.

    Ordinarily, I like to see more moderation in sentencing. But I agree this one is too short. Four months and you can defy Congress? Sometimes, people will calculate it'll be worth it.

    what is the "scam" exactly?

    what "countervailing opinions"? is that like when kellyanne conway said she uses "alternate facts" or when rudy ghouliani said "truth isnt truth"?

    and what do you mean "slap an R label on some members/witnesses". theyre not slapping any labels on them. they are republicans, many of whom actually worked in the trump administration.

    That isn't accurate. Please pay attention because you've gotten this wrong before.
    • Trump allies, employees, and staff members provided most of the testimony.
    • Other Trump loyalists were given the opportunity to tell any countervailing opinions they wished. They chose to take the 5th. It isn't that the committee denied them the opportunity.
    • Trump defenders lied about being willing to contradict witnesses under oath. When asked to testify under oath, after bragging on social media that they would, the would-be-witnesses declined.
    No witnesses were ever attached a label except the political party of their own choosing.

    Are you so deep in the red state that you can't possibly see what happened that day? Did you watch the videos? Tell me honestly you watched the videos and heard the words from the Proud Boys themselves to still think they weren't out for blood. Tell me with honesty that you seriously believe this wasn't a planned coup and insurrection to keep Trump in power after he lost. I mean seriously, you can't be that deep in denial.

    You're wrong! All these people were just posing as life long Republicans. They knew all their lives Trump was going to be President so they hid their leftist leanings until they could get in Trump's inner circle and take him down.
