She did, however, look into some of his websites - on which he posted largely right wing views - and said that while 'I did not agree with all of his views, it made me happy to see that he had strong opinions on issues that our world is facing today.

Whether the attack was motivated by this type of awful instigation is what I am trying to understand. I have doubts about that, based on the available evidence. That doesn't mean the actual attack and the type of instigation aren't awful - they are.

 

i just went to archive.org and it appears to be a search engine site similar to google. this is how they describe themselves on the homepage...

It sounds like she still hasn't seen him, and their (seemingly remote) conversation ended quickly when he didn't admit the abuse from earlier.

The websites stuff is weird, if the blogs actually were uploaded only on October 28th.

And the domain was definitely only registered in September.







I don't know for sure that this guy didn't have right-wing ideas. What I'm saying is that it isn't nearly as clear-cut as it is portrayed by those who are interested in portraying it that way.

Could you imagine if it was some deranged Democrat that attacked say Rand Paul. No one would be going on about how he deserved it or showing support for his attacker, right? was the attack on paul politically motivated or was it over paul blowing his leaves into his neighbors yard? where was the political motivation there?

right-wingers also continually bring up the fact that the guy who shot steve scalise was a bernie sanders supporter, but i never heard sanders calling for violence against his political opponents in the way that trump and his cult call for violence against theirs. the attempts at what-about-ism here are incredibly weak.

There is a lot we don't know yet. It sounds pretty bad to hear that the 82-year old gentleman is in ICU. I hope he fully recovers.

But I wasn't aware DePape is also hospitalized - what happened? Did he get shot?

Why haven't we heard anything about whether he has an arrest record? Shouldn't that be relatively easy for journalists to research?
