how do we know the coaching staff is nice. We don't see behind closed doors or the meetings they have. I never buy in to the "bad or "good" culture of a team, because people only base that on winning. You can have a good culture and not get the results you want.
Some people here expect a winning season, they are mad to think we will have one. We have had a hard schedule to start the season and people expect us to be 6-1, not 1-6. we have played just two games at home. All the teams we have lost to, have a winning record. 4 of the top 6 teams in the West and the Bucks and Hawks............. Brutal schedule so far
Not entirely true, people expected a 3-7 with much improved play where you could see real growth and average Defense. But now not so much. Unless the Clippers will fold.
I see several things as many here do. Our first and biggest problem is SILAS. There is no system whatsoever...no sets, no PNR, the ball doesn't go inside hardly ever. We are a guard oriented come down the court and jack up a 3 offense. Not many passes. When passes are made to an outside shooter, they are very often LATE. Unreal....Jalen is not a bust IMO...bad night. He is a SG and when he's shooting well, will look good. When not...well not good. He can drive the ball to the hoop and a nice pick would be nice where he doesn't have to take on 3 defenders at the rim.We need a FLOOR GENERAL badly. Our 2nd problem IMO is DEFENSE or should I say lack of. Silas/defense are close for worst. There is little deterrent inside. It's painful to watch. Jabari....I have loved the Rockets for 50 years...had the pleasure of seeing Game 7 win for the NBA title against the Knicks. Having said that...is the total game plan for him sitting on the 3 point line ? I think that's coaching...the ball RARELY goes inside and almost no kick outs for shots. He was extremely ordinary tonight but, if he is going to get 8-12 shots a night, unless he's hitting 50% or better...probably not a good look. I really thought he'd get a lot more opportunities. He is open on the arc a lot but ball is not passed to him and when it is..it is often late. It wouldn't matter who (fill in the blank) we had, in this system he would be challenged. I'm confident when he is evaluated in a year or 2, his game will be have justified his draft position. He is an afterthought right now in the offense. Tari should get more minutes,Nix less or none, Tari's usage is criminal.
No realistic person expected a team of 19 and 20 year olds to be 15th in defense. If we finish 28th that would be an incredible accomplishment
3-7 is laughable, especially seeing as we are on the road for most of it. If we win 2 of our first 17 games, we would have beaten last years start as we were 1-16 to start the season.
BTW...the Suns shot 53.6 % ...shooting 3 less shots than us and making 7 more.53.6% going to win almost every time for you.
everyone is not wiling to pass, he don't want to score only 6 point per game. Teammate change his game, change his mind.
Lose is not a problem. If anyone who still not understand, watch some matches of magic or Det, they play teamwork basketball even they are young
Lol I wouldn't call every single optimistic guy unrealistic, I know SL and preseason do not count but players played those well. It was surely optimistic but they did pretty well in preseason and especially Eason who isn't getting minutes. Very convenient to say that now with the knowledge that the team has been playing the worst ball since last season's start.
Truly laughable what Spurs, OKC could do in early stage. Better get used to it because it's a cluster of road games and home games. Depends because some teams love road games in theory as fans have less expectations when on the road, it could be liberating without pressure.
Let's say veteran opponents are rounding into mid season form. Then it's even harder to squeeze out wins. I stand by my conviction that early surprises were possible as opposing teams were not in mid-season form, missed opportunities. Could have jumped them.
41 win with this squad is normal if you have a decent coach. Only masochist tank addicts can not see that.
Please compare his degrees and intelligence against Quin Snyder's. If you do it he will immediately will seem a kindergarten kid. Meanwhile, current Turkish president's son and daughter could not get enough mark to study in a Turkish university and the boy went to Harvard via Indiana and the girl went to London School of Economics. Anglosaxon systems are all corrupt, full of nepotism. How a boy whose name is a synonym to being dumb can end up in Harvard? Money? Power? Connection? Corruption?
