When you quote something, it's helpful to post the original source.

The way the broadcast reported it didn't exactly help.

    It's 5 games.

The Astros were undefeated at home before game 1 but the media didn't force that into story.

With tomorrow being Halloween I’m guessing we’ll see a few folks dressed out as trash cans. I really hope they do to fuel the Astros with their hate

Yep. Not to pick a scab. But remember 2018 ALCS. We went into Boston and spanked them game 1 and unfortunately they mopped the floor with us four straight games. I’m hoping this is the formula but that we are the ones with the mop.

Then he is hosed. Angry and amped up is what causes his pitching to blow. He needs to go out relaxed abs locked in like any other regular season game. See an f’ing hypnotist JV. Get this mental block out of your mind and tell Kate to go home. Don’t need her extracting your mojo the night before.

And we would get the exact same production from DH as we are now. Hell. Maybe our pitchers could actually lay down a bunt or something productive. Give Hensley a game. If he splats and we win give him another. If we los. Screw it. DH Vazquez. There is no tomorrow at that point.

I'd really love to see us do to the Phillies what the Red Sox did to us in 2018. It would be so satisfying.

I considered it, but had to make a run to the store.

When it comes to game 3 in particular, most of our starters had never faced Syndergaard up until this year while he was with LAA.

Acquired at the deadline, Syndergaard is nothing like the pitcher he was in his Mets days. His average FB velo is down several MPH and relies on a sinker type fastball. He also does not issue many walks and typically pitches to contact.

One thing that hasn’t changed about Syndergaard, is that he’s HORRIBLE at holding baserunners. The caveat to that is that Realmuto has a strong arm(as we witnessed the first couple games of the series). But nevertheless… look for a few guys to be aggressive early in the game if they get on base and for the Astros to apply pressure. Could possibly see a hit & run at some point due to Syndergaard consistently being in the zone.

I’ve been clamoring for Hensley to get a shot at DH.(As I mentioned earlier, our guys have very limited AB’s against him) But it’s worth noting, Diaz hit a 2 run shot off Syndergaard earlier this year. Bregman also had a hard hit RBI single against him. I think Philly would be thrilled to get 4 innings out of Syndergaard.

If Lance is in the strike zone and has control of his sinker/slider, I think this is a very good matchup for the Astros. Philly has been pretty good at putting the ball in play all playoffs… but like Framber- when Lance is on, he’s very good at inducing soft contact.

    Let’s get this W!

How about a shoutout to the Cave Man Foul Ball Guy? I knew it was foul when he did the headset sign language.

Lance is just too wild. I know the Yanks did him a solid in 17, but he has to avoid walks...and hit batsmen at all costs

I don't think it's as big a deal as many.

I hate walks and HBP but baserunners are baserunners and McCuller's is elite at limiting hits.

What's the difference between 3 walks, a HBP, and 3 hits vs 1 walk and 6 hits?

Either way McCullers needs to be on a short leash tomorrow.

Can’t say I’m not concerned with the combination of lances wildness and the Phillies plate discipline.

    Walks will kill you.
