Mr Musk, who completed his takeover of the social media platform on Thursday, responded to Ms Clinton on Sunday by pushing a conspiracy theory to his 112m followers that the attack that left the 82-year-old hospitalised with serious injuries was not what it seemed.

“There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye,” he wrote.

The Twitter and Tesla boss gave no explanation for his comments, simply sharing a link to an article that claimed – without any evidence – that Mr Pelosi was drunk and met his alleged attacker in a gay bar.

It is one of several far-right conspiracies that began circulating online almost immediately after the attack on the House Speaker’s husband

 

1) what does it matter if he did meet him at a gay bar?
2) what is the conspiracy? Is Idle gossip now considered a conspiracy?

If anything, crappy journalism is a bigger conspiracy along with washed out politicians still given a mouth piece

 

Ya. Honestly I don't see the problem with the most wealthiest man on the planet who arguably has a larger bully pulpit than the President sharing a unverified story that a victim of an attack was just in the midst of a sexual encounter.

No issue with people with the most clout and wealth in the history of our planet having the emotional maturity and restraint of a child.

 

And there was no journalism with what Musk tweeted. The guy he tweeted by no means is a journalist. He's just another social media right wing pundit who claims Trump won 2020.

 

For starters, it would mean Paul Pelosi lied to the police about a break-in.

This will be interesting - although I am almost sure that the previous leadership of Twitter will have tried everything in their power to delete all evidence of their shenanigans. They had enough time.
