I'm half Asian and traveled to Asia probably more often than you have been to Mexico - and I always silently chuckled at the Asians wearing their masks at airports. I briefly changed my mind during the early stages of Covid, only to change it back again later. Wearing masks to avoid diseases is like turning your heating/AC on less to combat "climate change" - might make you feel like you "did something", but the actual effect is negligible or non-existent.
