Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for “Halloween Ends,” the final film in the “Halloween” revival trilogy. Filmmaker David Gordon Green and star Jamie Lee Curtis return following the well-received 2018 entry and last year’s more mixed reaction to the brutal second film “Halloween Kills”. Events begin four years after that night as Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all. With this film, Green, Curtis and producer/composer John Carpenter have teased it as a ‘departure’ from previous entries, saying it’s “going to make people very angry,” “shocking” and more. Will Patton, James Jude Courtenay, Nick Castle, Kyle Richards, and Omar Dorsey also return while Michael O’Leary also stars. The film marks Curtis’ final turn as Laurie Strode which she played in seven films of the series. “Halloween Ends” releases only in cinemas on October 14th. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-halloween-ends/ 1st of the revival was decent, 2nd one was just terrible......
halloween is my favorite of the big horror movie franchises and has been since i was a kid. i loved the rob zombie movies. i remember being disappointed by the first of this trilogy. i just found the story and michael meyers scenes underwhelming. i also didnt like the way they ignored all the previous movies and just pretend that this is the sequel to the original. if youre going to do that then dont have jamie lee curtis in there playing the same character. i reluctantly watched halloween kills on a return flight from europe a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. if its the one that had anthony michael hall. the ending was f***ed up b/c Spoiler you think the movie is over and then michael just reappears and murders all the main characters in less than a minute . i thought it was really well done. also, its hilarious that danny mcbride was one of the writers for these 3 movies. kenny f***ing powers!
I expect this to be some bullsh*t the last one was HORRIBLE from the Looney Tunes level kills, to Michael now being some sort of supernatural force who seems to get stronger the more he kills, to Laurie Strode barely being in the movie, to that lame ass “Evil dies tonight!” chant they tried to make a thing…was so corny and dumb
3/10 this was stupid 1st off, wtf was going on with Corey and Michael Myers? It was such a weird plot point. The whole thing with Corey was just dumb. U might be saying “Reeko, stop, it’s a Halloween movie. It’s about the kills, not the plot.” I get it, but c’mon, at least try. Who wrote this sh*t? Was this script written by a 5 year old in crayon? Myers been living in a sewer for 4 years? This MFer Pennywise now? In the last movie, Michael was some supernatural being that can’t be killed, and in this one, he’s back to being some huge 70 y/o man. Ok… would not watch again
The guy who is responsible for this film wanted to "make it his own". He certainly did that. He didn't make an ending film that was for the fans. He made one that satisfied how he wanted to end it with a dumb curve ball. I'm disappointed that Jamie Lee actually signed off on this ending. But, she agreed with the storyline. Good riddance to her. I only wish Michael dragged her in the..., too. Now, reboot this thing and pretend this last trilogy never happened.
after this, I’m good on another Halloween movie for awhile…this was truly terrible with each movie getting progressively worse in this trilogy
i will watch it at some point b/c i love the halloween franchise, but yall have set my expectations pretty low. i loved the rob zombie ones, but the first of these danny mcbride re-boots didnt do it for me. i saw the 2nd one over the summer when i was flying back from europe so maybe the fact that i was stuck on the plane made me like it more than i should have...but i enjoyed watching it. i liked anthony michael hall and the ending was crazy. but then most people seemed to think that was worse than the first one.
