And the Black Sea fleet is burning again. I don't get how Russia keeps losing naval battles to a country that doesn't really even have a Navy?
Just remember when the MIC hawks tell you we need a $800 billion dollar defense budget “because Russia” - Russia can’t even tie its own shoes militarily. Their military capacity is exemplified by a 60 year old overweight dude smoking a cigarette with his AK-47 from 1973 leaning against a rusty armored personnel carrier which only works 15% of the time. Congratulations. You got played.
1st helping Ukraine was stupid because there was no way they could win. Then, helping Ukraine is stupid because there's no way they could lose. Okay.
https://www.texastribune.org/2021/04/22/texas-house-medicaid-expansion-uninsured/ It's not for lack of effort from at least one party to try and provide healthcare coverage to more Americans. You get what you vote into office.
I agree. I just disagree with the notion that both major parties are obstructionists for increasing healthcare access to more citizens. One party won't even accept billions in approved funding to help it's state's uninsured citizens just so they can campaign on how much of a failure ACA is when they sabotage it before it can even begin. One of the hardest things to do is to find funding for projects aimed at improving a community in a substantial way. They won't even accept funding. That's how backwards it is. I've seen for pages and pages how billions are being sent to Ukraine and how that funding should instead go to the benefit of citizens in the United States. I've provided an example of billions in approved funding that would benefit citizens in this nation that Texas state legislatures rejected this past state session. If they won't even accept billions which was planned and approved of already, what makes you think they'll push for legislation that would actually pour additional billions into addressing concerns like expanding healthcare access even more? Again you get what you vote for. I mean you got politicians talking out of both sides of their mouth that reason we should stop funding Ukraine because those billions could go to benefitting U.S. citizens that then go on to reject billions in funding that would benefit U.S. citizens anyways. This is my reaction when I hear politicians say rhetoric like that.
Nah sounds like a fight against a crappy conventional army run by terrorist state-> pretty much exactly what the US military is designed for?
Ukraine is not winning. The west is providing technological superiority by a wide margin. Again I will remind you. 1) This could turn into something very serious, including a nuclear war. Not worth it. 2) The United States has to indefinitely meddle or Ukraine will fall. See Taliban and Afghanistan. Eventually the Ukrainians are going to want the US to leave when they get tired of us dictating how they should run their country. Rinse and repeat.
The Taliban wasn't a foreign army. Why would the US dictate how Ukraine runs its country? Do we dictate how Kuwait runs itself?
I'm far more uneducated on these events tgan many of you... However I support our efforts to help Ukraine. I believe it will help to topple Putin eventually. Question though... If we (and the rest of the world) had taken a harder line duri g the previous annexations, would this have been prevented?
