Put yourself in a self induced coma. Your clutchbros will wake you up lottery night if we get a top 2. If not, it'll be a beautiful funeral.
I’m not surprised at all. Sil@ss hasn’t showed us ****!!!! That he can coach this squad to a respectful level. The suckage will continue till he is gone .
I woke up at 3 a.m this morning to watch Rox. What a beautiful start for "Republic Day". Celebrating the day, our clean cut youngster starting and Pickles the cat sleeping/snoring happily. When they decided Alpi not to start and even not to play (because of so-called "illness", mysterious illness) I was sorry for not only Sengun and also for Jabari&JGreen.. Too much pressure for Jabari, no help, home alone and no screens and assists for JGreen.A lost rhythm for all team. The game was lost, no defense at all again, conceding more than 120 again. No harmony at all, no passing, indivudial stats seems more important to all players more than team success. JGreen deteriorating (statistically and mentally), Alpi shown again he has become 18/12 per 30 guy in an ignored team (could be 25/12 and 6 assists in an alternative universe where guards pass him and the coach suggests team to use his abilities). To get Wemby is a 14% chance at best and the team to be ready for the other 86%. Formula is very basic: (minimalist perfection or less is more, how you can name it): Draft a PG, sign a vet big, create a 2021-22 Cavs type front court (Alpi-new guy-Jabari similar to Allen,Mobley,Markkanen), field KPJ as 6th man catch&shoot guy, use Tari,Bruno and Garuba as back-ups but not at the same time. JGreen will be a superstar if he gets help from the bigs. No chance with KPJ and not with unfriendly bigs.People talk about defense but the main problem is assisting. Houston is #5 at rebounding but #28 at assisting.Tate assisted more than KPJ, more than JGreen, more than Eric Gordon when he played no more than 60% any of them. How come? Alpi's assist to turnover ratio was 1.28 last year and 0.44 this year. How come? Alpi's net rating was minus 10.2 last year and minus 6 this year.He still has better rating than whole team, it means that other defense specialist did not help a lot. Sometimes you just need time. Now we need time Silas to retire at the end of the season, KPJ to be moved to 6th man, JGreen to be injected some brain and winning culture. If these things won't happen we are going to watch Alpi in the eastern conference. Will be sorry not to see him under my team's jersey but at least the games start earlier there.
Just disappointed in Jalen. Thought he finally found some consistency in his game. Don't really have high expectations for this roster in the future. Still need a true superstar.
We’ll be the worst team in the league and somehow end up with the 3rd pick. Houston sports can be so disappointing.
I do wonder how much the team forcing KPj is having an effect on the team morale. I can't imagine Green and Jabari are happy with being the 2nd and 3rd picks and being relegated in the pecking order behind him. Early last game Jabari got into post position and he got completely ignored. This happens to Sengun often as well. These are high efficiency situations that instead result in a low percentage iso shot or contested 3. Green is guilty of this as well but does a better job of organically getting his teammates involved. Gordo looks totally checked out.
You’re not going to see any brand new development in a span of 5 games. Youre seeing exactly what your supposed to be seeing. Another version of kids playing at the highest level and struggling. Again no surprise
I think the Rockets need one more good draft and I still say for as talented as KPJ is, and I like him a lot, I just don’t think he no Jalen can play the same backcourt together The same way Harden and Kyrie couldn’t or Harden and Westbrook… KPJ will take away from Green. I don’t know if Silas is the answer. I seriously don’t think Fertits is good but he isn’t going anywhere. one more draft and possibly realizing KPJ may be a better fit somewhere else ? If not, I’m afraid this team is gonna be miserable to watch for awhile. Just my thoughts
Remember last year the number of times we heard about how well the backcourt did (individual stats). End of the season; last 7 game performance. Of the 7 games the two lonesome wins were actually against Portland. 3/25 Win @Blazers 3/26 Win @Blazers 3/28 Loss at home to Spurs 3/30 Loss at home to Kings 4/1 Loss at home to Kings 4/3 Loss at home to TWolves 4/5 Loss @Nets Few of us (despite looking like Debbie Downers) reminded people of context: Billups was rolling out street clothes players end of last year. Last night despite no Dame, was their actual starters.
Aren't they good buddies ? Also im not super enamored of Smith in the post shooting 12 foot turnaround fadeaways like a small butted taller Mark Aguirre. But then all of the options are bad so...?
This is year 3 of the tank... Year 3 of the tank... Year 3... (Tank!) Year 3... (Ta-tank!) For heeeeeere am I sitting in a tin can Far above the world The planet Earth is blue And there's nothing I can do
I don't care about the wins as much as I want to see a system and guys getting better, I don't feel that what we run works it is so Iso heavy and so stand around at the 3pt line heavy. If we were losing and guys are setting picks getting to different spots, making back cuts, it would be ok. But we aren't we literally are telling 2 guys to go ISO and if anyone is open pass it or shoot it. It is some of the dumbest basketball I have seen in my life.... And newsflash - it ain't the players...... DD
