1. Nationals game 7 2. Braves game 6 where we get shut out at home 0-7 in a must-win game 3. This game One common theme: All played at home
This is stupid. We had won 7 straight games and are the better team. We burn "hotter" than they do. Quit with the team of destiny crap. We choked and had no urgency to take it from them.
Yeah no. A ton of folks glossed over Philly calling them sorry on defense. Doing lineup to lineup comparison with adv. stros. Calling Phillies pitchers not that good. And lineup not that deep. Stfu with everyone knew Philly was good so no you can gtfoh with this nonsense
Just a gut shot. Can someone tell me why the hell Alruve and Alvarez are just duds right now. I mean hell. Your two best hitters are no shows. How we WERE 7-0 amazes me. If those two actually show up I like our chances. But I am losing faith.
Its playoff baseball and no one should expect to go undefeated throughout. The Astros have been here, so let PHI celebrate... the series is long from over.
We had Springer on that team, and Marwin saved us in the 9th in game 2. We also went 2-1 at home that series. We'd need to win the next 3 at home to have a winning record. Or, we can look at 2019 and 2021, where we were the favorite and started at home. Let's see if they can actually turn the tide in a series like this just once.
The way to look at this, is they Phillies HAVE to win the Nola/Wheeler starts. It just took a clutch GW winning homer, a few clutch game winning field plays, and the biggest comeback in 20 years for them to take game 1. Plus the Astros already started to work into their bull pen. Wheeler will definitely be tough tomorrow, but so will Framber. No reason to worry.
