Before 2004 - the Astros were 0-7 in playoff series

Since 2004 - the Astros are 16-7 (15-4 before the WS and 1-3 in the WS)

    Time to make that 17-7

Yeah that worries me about the Phillies. They’ve far exceeded expectations and we don’t have much of a history with them. They can play loose. Th pressure is on us to hold home field.

Yep. I really want at least one more to cleanse 2017 and vindication that this Astros 2015 - now era is a legitimate all time great dynasty.

If the Astros lose. I’m fine. They don’t hurt anymore. There continued post season success is enough for me. I just want this for Dusty. He deserves one and in retrospect, he might be the best manager this team has had. I’m still not over Hinch letting Will Harris pitch over Cole.

Get that man the W so he can retire an Astro.

True. But you know what stat makes me feel better? The last time the Astros lost a series—Aug. 27. It's been two months!

I've been in the hospital for 5 days with some brutal flu symptoms, but I'm not going to let it ruin my World Series viewing. I think an Astros victory tonight will help lift my spirits and hopefully I can watch game 2 from home.

Get well! Lot's of vitamin C. And a hot toddy wouldn't hurt.

JV and Framber both went 5 IP, 0ER, 10K in back to back starts to end the season and the Phillies had their starters in for 2 ABs, which constitutes the 5 IP by both pitchers.

Think the Astros need the W tonight. Somehow they solve Nola and continue their winning streak.

Who can more afford the L tonight? I say the Phillies.

One more thing…I’ve watched at least 150 of the Astros regular season games. I know their weaknesses. I don’t know the Phillies weaknesses because I haven’t watched them but I hope I find out in this series.

I don’t count the series to end the season. Different circumstances vs. now.
