KPJ salvaged his whole night in the 4th quarter because prior to that, he was HORRIBLE…simply atrocious

still scoring at way below league average efficiency, but it could be so much worse

He was pretty bad in the first half but went 6/8 in the 4th while the rest of the team went 2/15

That’s the only reason I am still on the KPJ train. I would hate for Green to have Harden moments in the playoffs where he just can’t turn it on and we live and die by Green. KPJ provides so much scoring relief for Green and you never know when 4th quarter Porter will show up. He doesn’t seem shy of the pressure

I don’t think Jabari will ever be a offensive player like that. I’ll be happy with DPOY awards and high 3pt%

Until we draft or sign a better point I’m riding with KPJ. This team falls apart when he sits

"KPJ is a ball hog he needs to pass way more"

    KPJ passes.

    Clank.

"Umm well yeah he still needs to keep passing the ball I dont care if he's one of the best at driving to the rim he's freezing everyone out"

    KPJ passes.

    Clank.

"Umm well look bro we all just need someone to blame and its just easier with KPJ being the patsy as usual why are you being difficult"

I wouldn’t mind him as our scoring punch off the bench

I can’t see a team winning anything of note with someone like KPJ as the primary decision maker…yeah, he can get hot like he did last night after playing horribly, but a playoff defense would completely pick apart a KPJ-led offense in a series

Riiight: Silas the Half-Court Strategist, the Supreme God of the Art of Basketball prefers foot speed and athleticism because his team isn't healthy.

Sengun was in his first year in the NBA, with a language barrier.
KPJ arrived with a criminal record file.
    Sengun exceeded expectations.
KPJ threw a fit and went home.

passes only when not being able to dribble anymore… and that looks very desperate, usually ends up with turnovers. I forgot how many times he got blocked by Brook Lopez while driving to the rim

Lopez had 5 blocks in that game. 3 came in the 2nd quarter against Eason, KJM, and Jalen. Lopez had 2 blocks in the 3rd Q one against Jabari and ONE against KPJ.

    Try harder.

seems like you can count… yeah everyone tries to drive senselessly once they got the ball because it’s like a last resort for scoring. OUR PG doesn’t really contribute to ball movement at all. Anyone with 2 eyes know what I mean.

Does "goal post moving" get lost in translation?

Kevin Porter Jr makes 52 passes per game and out of that 3.7 turnovers while sharing the same usage rate with Jalen and Sengun and logging about 12 potential assists per game. Not ideal, but nowhere near the scapegoat scenario you are trying your best to create and it would be nice if the other guys on the team could make their shots consistently when they get spoon fed wide open shots or layups, but yeah go on about how this team is bad because of KPJ you really have a handle on things.

not scapegoating him or anything, just it’s not true as you try to paint a bright picture. missing wide open shoots isn’t really a problem in the long term as how young this is but not passing and forcing things are big parts of the issue. KPJ always prioritizes scoring first then passing always comes later and should be other way around. As a PG, your first responsibility is to distribute the ball well, organize the offense. You aren’t Doncic or Curry, not even someone like Lillard.

You're insinuating its a player problem. This is a system problem. Go take this energy into the "Fire Silas" thread. Why is Nix playing the same exact way as KPJ when he's in there? Why is WHOEVER that has the ball doing the same exact thing?? KPJ has not gone rogue (yet).

You can check my earlier posts that as I said, Silas is the main actor for lack of the system. Even if that’s true, if your position is PG, you gotta take some blame. Do you remember how Schroder was playing? During his short time, he set a good example how a PG should play, distribute the ball well, attack the rim whenever you get an opportunity. Nix is much less experienced player than KPJ and younger. Plus, he can be easily replaced if not playing well.
