Isn't this probably going to true of most pitchers though?

That's surprising. I feel like George Steinbrenner would have canned him, but maybe I'm letting Seinfeld cloud my memory of the former Steinbrenner.

Criminal that we don't have an official WS thread yet.

Castro usually waits until the day of the first game. I think it's so he can incorporate the Starting Pitchers which are often only announced the day of the first game.

I was expecting it because Wheeler pitched last and I don't think they wanted any more extra days of rest than necessary for Nola.

What is @Castor27 record as starting the World Series thread? Is he 1-2 or 1-3

Shall we consider some new blood as in @Clutch so that we can break this NL East curse.

Lol at all these folks (mostly those who don’t visit the stros forum much at all) bothering castor for a game day thread when he has his way of doing it. Keep doing you castor. Don’t change a thing

No. Steinbrenner would’ve canned him after last season.

There's no way Verlander is waiting until game #6 to pitch when he'll be at full rest by Game #5.

I haven't really followed Philly much, but is Syndergaard not a viable #4 for them? I see he hasn't pitched much in the postseason but I don't know if there's a reason for it or he was just not needed.

I agree … but I would prefer they throw Javier third and let McCullers face Phillies 4th or bullpen. Javier is simply the better pitcher right now. I understand that he is also the one better suited to also support game 7 on short rest if needed, but I’d rather take game 3.

Maybe we need another one-day “injury” to Lance to let him save face again.

Yes I can see that but Lance at home is a different animal and I would be confident in him piggybacked by javier in a game 7. I agree Javier is the better pitcher right now so I would not be too upset if it went your way.

They used him to start the bullpen game but he isn't stretched out for 5+ innings

And even crazier Randy Johnson wins game 6 throwing 104 pitches and then comes back the next night to get the last 4 recorded Yankee outs on 17 pitches and ends up being the winning pitcher in game 7.
