I don’t take trolls seriously…u are not worth any sort of serious discussion or effort didn’t even bother reading your last quote to me
Another school shooting yesterday in St Louis. This is almost cliche now. An Incel loner with an AR and a lot of ammo shoots up a high school. https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/25/us/st-louis-school-shooting-tuesday/index.html
Seven security guards and the police arrived within minutes of the 911 call. Somehow he still got in and killed a student and a teacher. One student said his gun jammed or it would have been a lot worse. Thoughts and prayers because no one cares. Read an article (or it may have been on this forum) where it was mentioned how many more women are going to college now than men. If you consider women’s hypergamy tendencies we could start seeing a whole lot more lonely, angry incels in the coming decades.
The GOP mantra, paid for by the NRA, gun manufacturers, ammo manufacturers, and sellers of weapons designed to kill in mass.
what kids have to go through these days while at school u just never know when your school will be the one surely there were signs before he did this…How did he get his hands on these weapons?
yes this could've been much worse and maybe since only two died it's not getting as much attention. It's a sad statement though that only two died so it's not worth paying attention to.
To protect Your Home and Your Family, you have to let your schools, malls, workplace, movie theaters, open concerts, and "your" government go to **** Think sheeple, think!
This is one of those post I feel weird "liking". Yes this is largely the attitude. Many feel that tragedies like these are just the cost to be paid so that personal firearm ownere ship can be kept sacrosanct.
They justify owning guns because they are magically protecting their children from all the boogeymen who would otherwise be breaking into their homes left and right.
Horrible. I hope he fully recovers. These types of guns must be outlawed and somehow confiscated. It's one thing I feel quite strongly about.
The assault weapon ban will probably never be reinstituted at this rate. At the very least, I'd hope we can raise the minimum age to buy or own one to 21. A lot of these mass shootings are mentally ill teens that can just go out and buy an AR-15 with no restrictions. Even handguns in the US can't be sold to someone under 21 but AR-15s can be sold to an 18 year old.
It is a problem for the individuals actually involved, it isn't a significant societal problem and it isn't something children should be worried about. It shouldn't have been less than 1 in 1000 though, more like 1 in 3 million. Children are much more likely to be hit by a car or drown in a swimming pool than be shot and killed by a gun at school. We do the children a disfavor when scaring them about gun violence in school.
simple factual assertion. https://www.city-journal.org/school-shootings-horrific-but-statistically-rare excerpt: “There is not an epidemic of mass shootings,” says James Alan Fox, a criminologist at Northeastern University who has been tracking these events for decades and helps keep the AP/USA Today/Northeastern Mass Killing database. “What’s increasing and is out of control is the epidemic of fear.” As Fox notes, the annual odds that an American child will die in a mass shooting at school are nearly 10 million to 1, about the odds of being killed by lightning or of dying in an earthquake. Those are also about the same odds that any American will die in a mass public shooting like the recent one in Buffalo. Such numbers, of course, are no consolation to the grieving parents and families in Uvalde and Buffalo, but neither is the frenzy to manipulate these tragedies for ratings and political gain. more at the link
Those parents and kids are exactly the ones that should be exposed to this information. They should be informed that going to school is very safe and there is no particular need to worry about a mass shooting at school.
