With Mitchell added to that team it just shifts Mobley's focus to defense which is fine. Unfortunately with Spider taking 24 shots it makes Mobley a role player in the pecking order.

CLE is #5 in offense and #6 in defense in limited games. What I wouldn't give for Rockets to be top 15 in one of the two areas.

Tari has a bright future; but that matters less if he doesn't get significant minutes.

It actually does look like that.

Looking a whole lot like Marcus Camby...

I feel like his post game can be improved with a proper coach. I'm not saying CLE should be ringing up Hakeem or anyone like that for Mobley, but a good 'post' coach or 'big man' coach will go a long way. If you're physically limited by the inability to fill out the lower half of your body, there are plenty more ways to get efficient shots, even as a big man.

    Really?

First, no one ever claimed that he was Hakeem in the post.

Second, he is shooting 60% on two-point shots this season..... so he is doing something right in the post.

He is scoring nearly 14 points a game on only 8 shots.

He is getting less shots because Donovan Mitchell is a scorer more than a point guard.

I'm not saying that Mobley is the next coming of Bill Russell but I don't get tweets like these.

Man the strays Green was catching for this dude and the other players in his class is crazy though, Nook. When "generational" is being thrown around and clips like this exist, people can laugh a little, IMO. especially now that Green is balling over his peers right now.

Yeah, if you put it that way, that makes sense. I think Mobley is a good player and will likely be a very good player. He was one of the first to move like he does, but now Chet and Vic have come after him and are as mobile or more mobile and even bigger.

Vic is so long he is almost shooting downward.

Cade = high floor low ceiling player due to his lack of athleticism.

Mobley = high floor high ceiling player due to his size and length, however it's an extreme long shot that he develops his offense. I see him never reaching his max potential and that's a problem.

Green = low floor high ceiling player, he's already sort of exceeded his floor (which was bust-like), now he's on the cusp of reaching his ceiling. IMO he is the most likely player to reach his ceiling.

Terrific opportunity to advertise my new favorite NBA site. Here is a clip collection of all of Mobley's unassisted 2s and missed 2s.

    4-13, some ugly plays though

Not a surprise that when CLE uses Mobley with intent they have a better chance of winning like last night even though it was against ORL. He's a very good player, but if he's just going to be camped out on the 3 point line while the guards shoot at will he will be a wasted talent. Paolo on the court at the same time as Mobley leaves no doubt as to who deserves the title of "unicorn".
