    Done voting.

Did it out here near the office, Willowbrook area I believe (249/BW8). What's with the overweight, poorly dressed, kind of dimwitted looking white people men sitting in lawn chairs, next to their lifted super duty trucks, in the parking lot? They don't have jobs to be at? Is this just normal outside the loop behavior?

As an inner looper, it makes me uneasy. These suburbs are scary.

8 days left for early voting!
Make sure to get it in now.
If you wait until election day your vote could not count! Why wait in lines to have it rejected?

    Thank you for posting that.

I drove by the Montgomery county polling location and things seemed to be moving quickly.
Early voting really is the way to go!!

I asked my parents if they had voted, and they didn’t even know midterm voting was going on…they only vote during the Presidential elections

there’s a lot of people that don’t really pay attention to politics…my parents only know about the highlights

They might know that Trump said to inject bleach or that the FBI did something at Mar A Lago, but all the day-to-day stuff? Nah

I hope you’re taking them to lunch after you take them to vote.

Voted early yesterday. Here in Minneapolis had to do it at the county Government center and the way it worked was you fill out an absentee ballot there on site. For those wondering I was required to provide either a Driver’s license number, social security number or other state ID.

Ok so they’re not the “poll watchers” that there seems to be a lot of unease about

It was 2 guys. Lawn chairs. Hefty, burly, obese. Beards. I didn't see food stains on their clothing but looking back I assume they probably did. Flanked by 2 huge ranch trunks. Occupying about 4 empty parking spaces. In all, 2 dudes (and the police) decided it was cool to let them occupy 6 parking spots near the entrance of the hotel.

Maybe these people out here in the burbs are comfortable around that kind of person. But you don't catch that flavor of person inside the loop very often so it's JARRING for a delicate flower such as myself.

Recently I DID watch the movie Deliverance for the first time. And these dudes are like those dudes. So I felt in danger. Butthole clenched TIGHT if you know what I mean. Just in case. But perhaps all they wanted was some money. Begging for money. I could see that too.

The people voting inside certainty didn't match the look or vibe of these (I guess unemployed and obese and hard-of-breathing) dudes outside.

    GOOD LUCK

So this whole thing with printing the votes then scanning the votes is going to backfire badly. I was voting yesterday and heard several old people complaining about it. There’s no doubt that there will be a negative buzz in the retirement communities about this and it will dissuade many from voting.

Ok I just voted in Montgomery county.

It took longer for me to write who to tell my wife to vote for then actual voting.

    10 minutes in and out!

Do you like lines? Is that why you are waiting until election day?
Maybe you want to wait in line on election day and then have your vote not count on top of it?
