I think people fantasize about the NBA being sort of like their middle school B team. Everyone would be benched because you're going to make mistakes against NBA competition regardless of age, but especially if you're not even allowed to buy alcohol.
Mistakes or inexcusable mistakes? Mistakes would be not covering a player right as he cooks you on offense. Inexcusable mistakes would be not getting back in transition and letting players leak out multiple times a game. So yes, bench them to send a message.
Jazz coach immediately called a time out when they didn't get back on defense when Green leaked out. Good coach. Is trading coach contracts a thing?
Tilman won’t fire him and be on the hook for paying 2 coaches let’s just let his contract run out and hire someone else
The way we are going seems we will lose another one. In case he can't find the words in English, I can aways help with Portuguese sentences like: "eu simplesmente sou um treinador de merda". https://translate.google.com/?sl=pt...smente sou um treinador de merda&op=translate
Everyone wants Silas to be great because he is a really good dude. He seems like a very nice and good man, seems to be really good to his family. Hell even the first thing Hollinger and Duncan both said was the media and league is rooting for him to make it. If I could pick who I would want my daughter to marry, it would be Silas. The problem is that I really question if he has the personality to be a really good NBA head coach. There is a reason Lucas and my man Hollins are there. They add a little more a$$ to Silas’ hole.
the "silas hasnt had a real roster to coach!" excuse is the dumbest one i've heard.we just played a game against a jazz team, that just jettisoned their 2 corner franchise players, and it was clear their coach had their team organized and well versed on many game situations.
I seen enough Silas is not the guy, he can't draw up good plays, we need more movement in the and more cutting.
I can't for the life of me figure out what Silas does during practice with this team. There isn't a system. It's iso ball. They just take turns going 1 on 1.
16 more games and I will be ready to bring out the tanks, the Warriors on paper again look unbeatable and I do not think anyone in the league that was a contender has a shot once again. It will be a cake walk, and almost comical to watch teams who think they actually have a shot. Not many teams actually got better besides maybe Pelicans and Clippers by having people simply return.
bro, Rockets got more talent. Jalen, Tari and Jabari are 12 years old doing allstar-ish things. The Rockets talent has to rise above Silas coaching. Jalen Green had 25 in the 3rd qtr and never touched the ball after that.
our coach is trash, no disciplline,no game plan ,no strategy on both sides .He will prevent our young player from developing ,he should not coaching this team anymore
You guys generally call this guy as a "nice guy". I don't think he is close to nice. He had said they agreed with Wall at the beginning of last season about not playing, whereas we learned today that was not the case and Wall had no idea until the very last days. Same with Sengun treatment, Silas said Sengun would start, yet Sengun learned he was not the starter a day before the season opener. This is not what nice guys do. He is full of hatred or complexes inside. He started almost everyone but Sengun. That is not normal, and it is a terrible player treatment without any reason. I was checking the advanced stats on nba.com and Sengun leads the team in so many different stats, and is much more efficient than almost all the players, yet he ranks 6th or 7th in playing time. So Silas is not giving him much playing time either. I feel this "illness" Sengun has may be due to this mobbing treatment.
26 Oct - L 101-109 to UTA "We told them before the game that they weren't going to (be able to) play the same way they did in Game 1 (against the Jazz)." How about you do your job and draw up a play coach?!
As much as I love Bruno and 100% agree with starting him…..Silas runs the exact same play over and over again. Bruno picks at top of key and then breaks to the basket. They run that same play every half court set. Eventually teams figure it out.
On paper, Spurs has a worse roster but their record is... Spoiler 3-2. Beating Wolves, Pacers, and 76ers. All those were ROAD games. Record is early and eventually fall... but at least Pops gets them ready.
