The way you are seeing this is so odd frankly.

Why are you pretending the only options now is with KPJ runs a heliocentric offense or Green being overburdened?

We don't have to run a heliocentric offense. It's that simple. It doesn't matter if KPJ is the most competent ball handler on the team. We don't have to run a heliocentric offense.

people really just tossing out random players and their TS% as if league average TS% has remained static throughout NBA history…

    embarrassing

Why the hell do you use 2 of the most inefficient players in the history of the NBA to compare to KPJ when he is like neither of those guys?

    Do better my guy.

To be fair, russ and kpj TS% for their careers are only 0.4% apart, it's not THAT insane

Nobody's saying it doesn't matter, they're saying it's not the ONLY thing that matters. Nice try at spinning the narrative, it failed, but it was a nice try. But cool, next one up to bat. Who's more efficient, Lebron or Harden? Who has more rings? Who has the better legacy? Efficiency is fool's gold if it's all you focus on.

Nope, not my narrative. I'm responding to somebody saying that KPJ's TS% means he'll never be a good player in the league. If you're going to insert yourself into arguments, try reading them?

i'm not sure who's TS% would be higher between them, it's a lot of effort to league adjust it since lebron started way earlier. Has anyone said it's the only thing that matters? I think it's extremely important though

Yeah it is insane because one guy is going into his 2nd full year and the other has 10 plus years of doing it.

Also, one played with multiple all stars and 2 HOF's and the other guy is playing on a team that was the worse in the NBA.

So other than that the comparisons are not THAT insane.

wait, which one is going into his 2nd full year? are you talking about russ on specifically LA? why would the rest of his stats not count

    LOL.

Just stop nobody said his stats don't count you can't even say anything coherrent now.

Tell us again why KPJ should be compared to a guy that's been in the league over 10 years and has played with multiple HOF's.

It is the spiritual successor to the [ extend KPJ or not] thread (150+ pages), which was a successor to the [ KPJ experiment ] thread.

The video in the opening post was on his efficiency, it's not really arguable.

I would argue it is MUCH more odd to be saying essentially "Our best ball handler has the ball too much, wouldn't it be better to have people who are worse at it handle the ball more?"

I would agree that the offense would be better with more off ball movement and more set plays, but you aren't going to get that so long as Silas is here no matter who runs the offense.

So get rid of Silas. The idea of running an offense through one guy is fine when that guy is Harden, or Luka. When you're asking KPJ to handle the ball this much, you're setting him and your team up for failure. He's not that guy. (Very few are).

The other thread was a little bit more divisive I think. A lot of people wanted KPJ just straight up gone or signed to a team friendly deal. That happened and now most can accept that he's has some talent, but whether or not it's being used correctly. I'll say that it's not and the solution is that this team probably doesn't have the right guy at the helm. That being said, if we did have the right guy at the helm, I'm not sure KPJ would've ever seen the floor. JVG? D'antoni? Adelman? I think the only coach we can comfortably say would've actually given KPJ some run is probably *clapclap* McHale.

I'm all for it... but till another competent ball handler emerges, KPJ will have to do it basically by himself.... but a better coach could get some more off ball movement to make it easier.

So basically when a better ball handler comes you are fine with relegating kpj to the bench right?

That's was another thing folks defending kpj were very adamant against.
